Think of how civilisation could advance when given the right opportunity! You're in a situation where you can take some of the information here back to your original world. You could improve the lives of thousands upon thousands of people!

To just ignore it because you like the status quo is selfish.

The hell? I don't recall saying 'I like it that way so I'll keep it like that'. I'm all for advancement. But you could also screw up the lives of thousands if you brought dangerous information or technology back, or if it wasn't implemented properly, or if the laws of physics differ slightly, or if people use it for their interests. It's not something you can just do without thinking about it.

You don't achieve anything without risking it! Take the information and give it to the right people if you can't do it yourself. Your world is bound to have researchers and scientists who'll know if and how it can apply.
