002 :: action
[It's lunch time in the cafeteria and Akiela is currently sitting by her lonesome at a table with several books sprawled across the surface. Clearly, classes have hit her hard.
Very hard. She's practically slumped over the table in a dead faint. You might even think she's sleeping... if it weren't for the tiny fact that she seems to be talking to herself.]
... inally I need you morons and you're not around. You know what this reminds me of? That one time we were in Ballista and Refie and Drazen decided it'd be hilarious not to pull through with the pincer attack. That was a saaaad day for San d'Oria. [A sigh.] I still think Meryl should have made you guys pay for our infirmary fees...
[Come talk to the possibly snapped Elvaan?]

Talking to yourself is not healthy, no matter what world you come from.

Hello Gakupo, I find it very therapeutic. ... or I might, if I were talking to myself. ... though I sort of am at this moment. I'm not quite certain anymore. How are you, by the way? [Rambles.]
no subject
I'm fine, thanks. But...are you?
no subject
I've a newfound hate for knowledge... and I'm a little homesick. That's all.
no subject
[He hopes talking to oneself isn't what she does at her home world...]
no subject
I was trying. I've always wondered how long the range is on these things but it seems crossing worlds is the final limit.

[She laughs outwardly then.] I've no talent as a bard or seamstress. As for a dancer... [She pauses.] ... Maybe one day.

no she's not blushing go away]Oh yes, I dance as gracefully as a chocobo.
no subject
He sees that blush.Smirks.]All creatures have the potential for dancing, including chocobo. [Pays her shoulder lightly.] There's hope for you, you know.
no subject
Shush you.She sighs.]That doesn't mean it's wonderful to look at. [She's massively resisting the urge to ruffle your hair.]
no subject
Stands up and offers a hand, grinning.] It's also wonderful to do.
[Yep, he's asking you to dance in a cafeteria. He has no shame in dancing anywhere.]
no subject
[Have a blank stare at that hand.]
... are you...? [Because she obviously thinks you can't be serious.]
no subject
I am. [And that hand will wait all day for you, missy. Better take it.]
no subject
[She balks at the very idea of learning to dance in a cafeteria, before sighing a little. Veeeery slowly she'll get to her feet and take that hand. Do note, she's squirming.]
no subject
Gakupo smiles triumphantly, before realizing something.
She's SUPER tall.
No matter. A dance will be had!]
Relax. Dancing is not so difficult. Let's try something easy. [Tries to take her waist, but realizes he should probably aim HIGHER. There's a slight flush before he gets it right. Sorry, Armor Girl! He takes her right hand into his left.] Now, put your left hand on my right shoulder.
no subject
[She'll allow you a moment to compose yourself in the face of her height before obeying the order. ... Of course, it probably wasn't meant as an order but she's far too used to treating instructions as such. Once her hand is on his shoulder, she takes a moment to decide not to look at the cafeteria residents who are undoubtedly staring.]
Alright.
no subject
Gakupo is far too used to having an audience, and doesn't even realize they're there.]
Alright, now, take a step back with your right foot. [Adds quickly.] A small step. [No need to have them on the floor now...]
no subject
She goes a bit redder at his addendum and does so, though it's done a bit rigidly. The rigidness is more from nerves than anything, once she gets used to this she'll go back to all that impossible flowing grace from someone her height.
... or the flowing grace she'd like to pretend she has.]
no subject
There you go! Nice job. [Best to give as much encouragement as possible. Slides his left foot forward to move along with her.] Now, slide your left foot to the left.
no subject
[She pauses minutely, before following that instruction as well, all too aware of their current situation and how utterly unfamiliar it is. She's never been called upon to dance formally. Oh there are the silly little jigs she and her friends will get into when they're waiting for something but that hardly requires close contact. Certainly not the way she and Gakupo are currently standing.]
[Of course, that realization makes her go even redder.] Pardon me, Gakupo, but this is a bit of a... curious place to have a dance lesson.
no subject
He moves with her, oblivious to wherever they were. He's done concerts in front of THOUSANDS. Dancing in a cafeteria was a cakewalk. He does pause at hearing her concern, or rather embarrassment. But he heard it as concern.]
We could always move this to the Quad, or the hallway, or in the lobby... [Smirks. See where this was going? It would be awkward no matter where they were.]
no subject
And of course the rooms would be far too small... [She sighs.]
no subject
So let's continue. Now, I'm going to move my left foot back, so move your right as I move. Then bring both feet together.
