[Anyone who passes by Katara might be wondering why exactly she's nearly uprooting all the plants within the vicinity. By the furrow of the brow and the way she's muttering herself, it seems as though she's searching for something, and has been on the prowl for quite some time.

At the moment, she's poking around one of the empty benches, blue eyes critically scanning the ground around and underneath the metal seating. She can't help but upturn a couple of large rocks decorating the grass as well, though she knew it was unlikely she'd find her lost possession under any boulders.]

Where could it be? It has to be somewhere in this school...

[Xu smiled. Some of the newer cadets were really endearing. Her posture relaxed, and she moved forward a bit.]

[Katara relaxes a bit at the offer, and gives the older SeeD a smile.]

It's a carved pendant on a ribbon of blue silk... it's not too big.

[The SeeD nods, then moves to the opposite side of where Katara was.] Where did you see it last?

[Her face falters slightly.]

I don't know-- I didn't realize I had lost it until a couple of days ago. I've already looked in the classrooms, the cafeteria and the library, but I haven't found it.

[The way Katara was talking about it, Xu couldn't help but assume it was pretty important to her. She nods.]

I'm sure it's here somewhere. If anything, one of the cadets will turn it in if they find it.

[Yeahh the last time someone found it? Didn't exactly turn it in. But she offers a halfhearted smile anyways.]

I hope so-- it's really important to me. My mom gave it to me, and if I lost it... [She looks troubled again.]

[Xu is not a fan of bad behavior. There will be hell to pay if she sees one of the students with it.]
