Man what do they even call these half bites of meat they give out in the cafiteria? Shit it aint hardly meat just junk and there aint no blood to make it worth the time ta swallow. How longs this shit been dead anyway? Gunna die if we dont land somewere soon. Shit id take the damn snow lions in trabia over this. Maybe well get lucky and some dumass scouting crew of solja boysll come try ta land on garden. Could use a bit of fresh meat. See anyone suspicious point me at em. Srsly ill even clean up the mess Anyway. Anyone up for a spar? Got rules. Keep my mouth shut. No blood. So i aint gunna hurt ya too much.

[In spite of textual whining to the contrary, Namur is quite healthy, if a bit crankier than usual. He can be found working off some of his aggression in the gym or pounding his music extra loudly on the Quad. Catch up with him in the cafeteria if you dare. For hell's sake, someone come spar with him!]

[Fionna walked over to him, sighing. This was crazy, and if she knew better, she would have let things be, but Fionna was never one to back down from something easily. She got close to him, her eyes questioning].

This is hard for you, huh?

[Namur nods as he laughs, then turns toward her and kneels so he can talk to her face to face.]

'S jus' chemicals, Fi. They'll bugger off after awhile, an' I'll be fine.

[He takes her hands, holding them on top of open palms so that the webbing between his fingers won't gross her out.]

Look. If any dude tries t' make y' feel guilty cuz it's too hard or some shit, kick him with yer toes pointed, straight in the claspers. If he's really as damn hard as he says he is y'll bust somethin' an' he won't be wantin' any kind a lovin' even from himself for awhile, sheheheh!

[Namur lets one of her hands go so he can run his finger under her chin, tilting it up, tempting and resisting.]

I will never not ask for permission, a'ight? Got a lot a shitty faults but that ain't one a 'em.

[Fionna laughed, lightly]. Chemicals my butt Namur. You like bein' this close, and if I were one of your "off shore" gals you'd be fixin' your chemicals up real quick. Even I know what "blue balls" means now.

[It took a lot of blushing at the term, but she said it pretty casually now]. 'm not into "any dude."

[She nodded, reaching up now and kissing his neck]. I know.

[Okay, tilting her head up like that when he was trying to shunt testosterone was stupid, Namur realizes this. All the energy from before comes crashing back like the cresting tidal wave of a tsunami, threatening to sweep him away.]

[He swallows, her lips at his throat slowly pushing everything else out of his mind. Except the tone of her voice when he asked permission, the relief that he'd pulled away. Damn it. Namur lays his hands on her shoulders and moves her back pointedly.]

[She backs away, but only because he asked. The two are pretty close right now, and while Fionna could hear the echoing of her heartbeat in her ears, she didn't look scared].

Now you're stoppin' us. How come?

Cuz y'said no, dumbass. Assumed y' meant it, an' I'mma respect it. Go sit down while I get my damn head cleared up an' I'll come sit with y' in a few minutes.

I said no then. I was scared. But you know people can change their minds, right? I just...we get so close, and then we stop. It's not really fair to you, is it?

An' in two whole shitty minutes yer suddenly not scared?

[Forgive him if he looks like he doesn't believe it.]

Life ain't fair, a'ight? How shitty would it be if I sat here an' said "Don't let nobody make y' feel guilty for sayin' no" an' then when y' feel guilty for sayin' no I let y' give in t' the guilt? Pretty damn, sweetheart. It'd be pretty damn shitty. Jus' got done tellin' y' I don't swim that way.

[Namur takes a big breath; sighs; then turns her around, pulling her against him and plopping his chin on the top of her head.]

Ain't mad at y'. Chemical that gets hyped up for sex is the same one that in other situations makes me wanna fight, see? That's all. Jus' gotta let it run its course an' then I won't seem mad anymore. Ain't yer fault, Fi. 'S jus' how it is.

It's hard for me too! I'm thinking all these feelings and I'm all jumbled up, and I now I shouldn't wanna do this stuff, but part of me does, and like, I know you don't really need me to take care of that stuff. It's...man, I didn't know liking someone was gonna bring all these OTHER weird feelings, like you aren't good enough or smart enough or that you don't, you know, make you feel good like that.

And I want you to feel good with me!

Well tell them stupid weird feelin's t' bugger off.

[He holds her tighter, nuzzling the back of her head.]

Yer good 'nuff an' smarter'n me an' y' make me feel damn good that's why we're in this shitty mess in the first place.

[Fionna smiled, reaching up to kiss his neck again, looking happy].

Easy now, I'm not THAT awesome. Well, no, I am, but that's because I had a pretty rad teacher to make that happen. One of the best things to happen to me here is seeing you bust in, acting like you do, being all rough and hard but kinda soft and genuine.

[This time Namur lets the kissing happen and just enjoys it, holding her close against his chest. If he moves he'll break his calm, and clearly she wants physical attention but not too much of it. He's better at this kind of thing after, but he's totally got this.

When she calls him soft though, he snorts and throws his arms out wide.]

Pinch me sweetheart. What part a me's soft, huh?

[So she knew that he was restraining himself, and really, she ought to do the same. Those feelings were pretty severe, and if he was strong enough to hold her, she could shown him affection as chaste as she could].

Aw, come on Namur. You're not always Mr. tough guy pirate and all around bad ass teacher. You can be really sweet and gentle when you wanna. I really like seeing that side of you.

[Namur is not blushing. Nor is he sweet nor gentle in the slightest, shoosh.

He picks her up and carries her back over to the couch. As fun as it is being on his knees, he'd rather sit with her.]

T' each their own I guess. If we ever make landfall 'gain, what kind a shit y' wanna do? Like for a date or somethin'?

[Fionna takes in the feeling of being carried: hey, she lied sometimes, especially when no one else could see it and make jokes].

Aw, come on Namur. What's our dates gonna be like? We gonna go hunt mermaids, or go searching for treasure or go kill a Kracken? You know me dude. We go on adventures, crush enemies, get the gold and drink and laugh and dance. If we can find some quiet time, awesome, but I want to see new and crazy stuff with you whenever I can!

[He leans back, stretched out across the whole thing, fin tucked into the corner and his arms supporting the back of his head, with Fionna placed on top of his diaphragm.

Namur chuckles, something she'll feel more than hear.]

No pressure or nothin', huh? Shit, how y' gonna help me hunt 'maids an' krakens though? Know a spell t' make y' breathe underwater?

[It was a little awkward sitting this way, but Fionna managed, propping herself up with her legs mostly, and gave him a look with the chuckle that followed].

Look at what I've been doing here, man. I learned a few magic spells already, you think breathing underwater is gonna be the thing I let mess everything up? As for that other stuff, come on. It's ME!"

Well since it's somethin' that usually kills humans I figure it's good t' get it out a the way first an' worry 'bout shit like whether there actually are krakens an' shit in this world second.

[Hey, she's in a place of power. She could do pretty much anything to him and he wouldn't be able to respond quick enough to stop her. He's letting himself be vulnerable.]

Hey, I'll find a way. I always do. Not dying is kinda top priority!

[It took awhile to sink in. She nuzzled happily against him, laying her head against his chest a moment].

[Namur likes feeling her move around against him.]

Usually is, sweetheart. Speakin' a that. Y' got a couple GFs right?

[Fionna could get used to this and was, head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat].

Not yet. I kinda thought I wasn't supposed to.

[Namur frowns. He's not really sure how it all works. He'd gotten his as soon as he arrived. But he'd also come to Balamb specifically for para-magic training.]

[Fionna blushed] Yeah but only startin' to learn about GFs.

So y' got the interface at least. Good. The rest y' can figure out on the fly if y' gotta. They all make some bigass fuss 'bout havin' t' learn all this shit 'bout all the spells an' the GFs but really the best is jus' t' Draw off everythin' y' can an' then cast it on somethin' else t' see what happens.

[It also means even if she gets killed, casting Life could bring her back.]

I learned enough magic to manage that! maybe all I need is a little direction, so I can fine tune my stuff!
