[ He's new still, but you may have seen him. He did have a punishment round on his very second day, after all. Though Jet laid out of the first few days of his classes, citing his concussion as his excuse, he's attended at least a few of them, and he just has one of those faces. Very tanned and boy-next-door, not unpleasant and not one-in-a-million. You may have seen him. ]

[ And you may see him now, as he's scouring the girls' dormitory looking at the name placards beside each door, laboriously trying to read the "sounds" written there. He's not yet to the second floor but is making his way toward the stairwell, deep in concentration.

It doesn't for a moment occur to him that only girls are supposed to be in the girls' dorms. ]

What's this?

[ Azula stood in front of the staircase, one hand on her hip as she stared down this idiot before her. Maybe if he wasn't being so obvious she would have let him off easy, but if he wasn't even going to try to sneak around-- well, then he deserved whatever he had coming to him. ]

[ He looks up when he hears that language. It's being translated too, by one of those little tiny boxes, but he doesn't need it to understand. ]

[ Eyes narrowed, Jet has only to look at the girl for a breath to see the resemblance. ]

[ She tilted her head to the side at his response, fighting the urge to laugh. He spoke a familiar language, and automatically knew that this was the one that arrived with Zuko and Katara. Her brother was right, he didn't look like he would be a problem at all. Azula flicked her hair back, smiling. ]

This is my business. As part of the Disciplinary Committee it is my duty to punish anyone who violates the Garden Code.

[ His teeth are starting to grind with the clenching of his jaw, and as much as he'd like to turn around and take that pale face between his hands and twist until he hears a crack, Jet's wary of her given what Zuko had said. ]

[ Oh, she was sure he knew exactly who she was. If he had a problem with Zuko, then the Fire Nation garb she was wearing in addition to the family resemblance-- Ugh. What a waste of breath he was, really. ]

[Bulla's on her way back to her dorm when she spots a boy there. She doesn't think it's all that bad as long as he's not trying to get into any of the rooms. After all, she'd been in the boys' dorms the other day looking for Reno]

[ Jet jumps slightly, hand flying to the back of his neck as he turns. ]

[ Getting a good look at her, Jet's eyes widen. He's been scarce, and though he's seen things like pointed ears and a few people with strangely pale, almost yellow hair, he's yet to see blue. ]

Her name's Katara. [ He's trying not to stare, really... ]

She's a girl--[ Get it together, Jet! ]

I mean, obviously she's a girl. What I was trying to say is, she's got dark hair and skin, with blue eyes. About this tall.

[The hair seems to throw off a lot of people. Or at least, that's what Bulla's assuming he's reacting to, unless this guy's just really awkward around girls he doesn't know. If he comments on it, she'll be happy to inform him her big brother's hair is purple.]

Well, the good news is I have seen your friend around here before. The bad news is, I don't know what dorm she's in. I can probably check the listing though.

[ Since she offered to check the listing, she's obviously noticed his difficulty with reading. Not smooth. ]

[ He pushes a hand through his hair and sighs, centering himself. Blue hair, so what? She's just a girl. When he opens his eyes again, he's picturing her with dark hair, just that glossy brown of any good Earth Kingdom girl. That's better... ]

[Done with her classes for the day, Katara is making her way back to her dorm when she catches sight of Jet in the hallway of the first floor. She's a bit confused-- had he confused the girls' dormitories with the boys'? She pauses by the stairwell before calling out to him.]

Jet? What are you doing here?

[ Ohhhhh. Caught. He looks up from where he's squinting at a name placard. ]

I, ah. Well I was just.

[It seems as though he really did intend to be in the girls' dormitory by the way he's scrutinizing all the placards. She frowns slightly; boy, Jet sure did work fast. Has he already met a girl? Not that it mattered if he did-- she wasn't going to get jealous or anything-- after all, it's not like he ever had any real feelings for her--

Katara keeps her expression neutral, though there's a slight edge to her voice when she speaks:]

Are you looking for someone?

[ Jet sighs, shrugging and lifting both hands in a helpless gesture. ]

You caught me, Katara. I was looking for someone.

[ When his eyes open, a grin breaks across his face. ]

[There's a brief silence as Katara averts her gaze to brush her dark locks over her shoulder -- her signature hair loopies are back -- then shift the books in her arms. Finally, she looks back up to him.]

[ It's reassuring to Jet that she's ditched the fire nation attire and hair style. Upon first seeing it, he'd been confused, to say the least. ]

[Stares at this very obvious man wandering around the dorm. Frowns, because he might be a creeper and a pervert. And a very fail one at that. Does she have to cut a bitch?

One hand goes right away to the hidden knife in her clothing, because it might take too long to get to her sword.]
