[Meanwhile, Gakupo is listening to music on his laptop in the quad, thanks to the music player he got from Time Compression. It seems like it's cycling through a playlist, but if anyone listens carefully, one could tell that it's him singing. He also has a pad out and a pencil, jotting down notes feverishly. There's quite a pile of papers held down by a canteen of water so they won't blow away.]

[Slughorn waggles a finger at the canteen, which he regards as inadequate.]

[Gakupo looks to the instructor, then to the papers her was pointing at. He gives a light laugh.]

I don't quite have anything better to hold them down with.

[jointheclub]

[Slughorn chuckles.]

Taken by the spirit of the moment, eh? No time for better details?

That's usually how music works with me. The rough draft comes first, then fine tuning.

If it's common, you ought to carry something. A little weight or the like.

[Slughorn casually draws his wand, then points it off in the direction of his office.] Accio.

[And then Gakupo realizes something, once Slughorn takes out his wand. He points at the wand.]

Ah, Harry had a similar wand. [He pauses.] Well, as similar as they get, I think.

[The summoned paperweight zooms up and promptly cracks Slughorn in the arm, then drops to the ground. So startled is the wizard that he doesn't even notice.]

Harry? You can't mean Harry!

[The paperweight came and fell. Gakupo watches as it hits a dumbfound Slughorn on he arm but did nothing in reaction.]

Can you...be more specific?

How many wizards named Harry do you know? I only know one, and that is Harry Potter!

I could have known five! That doesn't mean you get to leave out a last name! [Gakupo points to the ground at the paperweight.] Is that yours?

[Slughorn waggles his wand in irritating.]

I was going to loan it to you, but if you don't speak up about Harry, I'll make a Bludger out of it.

[eggplantallergy]

[He doesn't know what a Bludger is, but it sounded like a painful word...]

He was here. That's all. He was a very nice person.

[jointheclub]

And I was retired. Missed him completely. [Slughorn sounds downright mournful about it.]

...oh dear. How old was he?

Ah...I'm not sure. fifteen? Sixteen?

Was he a friend of yours?

Ah.

[Slughorn deflates with a heaved sigh as he tucks his wand away.]

Prized student. Remarkable Potionmaker. A knack for it I haven't seen since his mother. But if he was fifteen, he might not even have known me. Best I didn't meet him here, then. The things I know about that boy! About what happened!

The concert is for the beginning of July. Hopefully with no further mishaps and events, we should be in the green to go.
