[ So there's another new face in Balamb garden, Leanne had found herself here in this world way early in the morning. She's had some time to let the information settle in her brain but she's still not sure what to make of it, or even what to make of this place. It's big, the single building probably as big as Ebel City. So she's wandering around, a little bit lost. She looks down at the paper she's holding once in a while, mumbling to herself. ]

...guess it's a good thing I got here on the weekend.

[ She stops by the directory eventually trying to figure out where everything is, where she'll have to go for classes, lunch, her room, all of it. Just focusing on what she can do right now. ]

This is all so strange.

[ Terra tilts her head a little to look at the schedule curiously. ]

Oh - it looks like you have a couple of classes Monday, Wednesday and Fridays with me too. Most of the ones that aren't academic they hold in the Training Center, which is...

[ She points after a moment, at a spot on the directory. ] There. Right through that hall. [ She points in another direction in the area. ] There are dinosaurs and bug monsters there though so you should take care if you go there.

Um.. the swimming pool... if memory serves is ... [ She motions in another direction, opposite the training center. ] Down that way. You can't miss it. [ The smell .. my god. ]

Uh-huh. [ She makes note of it mentally, it's a pretty long way to go for classes but whatever. ]

It'll be good to have a familiar face in some of the classes.

It was feeling pretty lonely in this place. The natives don't really seem to like those of us from other worlds.

[ She shakes her head, dismissing the thanks as unnecessary. ]

I know what you mean. [ She still felt lonely here, to tell the truth. ]

It's not easy being in a big place like this, and being the only one... I mean, with no one you know around with you. [ Another pause, and she shifts uncomfortably. ]

They don't, no... I think I understand why, but it doesn't make it easier.

[ She shifts a bit awkwardly, hearing that discomfort and loneliness but with no real way to reassure Tina. ]

With no one you know...that's true but there will be people you know once you reach out, right? They won't replace the people you miss from home but it'll keep us sane, hopefully.

[ A sigh. ] I guess it's always hard to trust strangers, and what's stranger than people from another world?

Yes, of course - it makes being here a good bit easier to cope.

[ A slight pause, considering the other girl's words. ]

Sometimes there are people from the same world who are just as strange. What was your world like?

Well I'm from a place called Basel, it's a tall tower...I don't really know what's beyond that honestly. People say it's not safe outside but I wonder.

There are plenty of weird people from every world I'm sure. [ She laughs a bit. ] The people I live with are pretty weird.

Years ago people started dying on Earth, from diseases. So they built the tower and closed themselves in.

I don't think anyone in Basel wants to go outside, we don't really know what's out there anymore.
