[For the regular denizens of Balamb Garden, it's an ordinary day...until more off-worlders start showing up, for only a few hours at a time. Unsure what to make of these more temporary visitors, the Garden faculty is holding off on registering them as cadets or offering them jobs.

[Maybe someone you know might turn up?]

Mod note, to reiterate:
Fourth wall characters can only be seen at certain hours of the day. They may appear for two hours a day, or four... or seen only in the early morning... the time doesn't matter to us, but they're not permanently here. They may return to Garden multiple times over this fortnight, but they're not around 24/7.
Like apped characters, fourth wall characters can't be ridiculously-sized. Transformers, Gundams, and similar concepts/characters will become human-sized (and in the case of mechas, not allowed altogether.)
Players (like you and me) are not allowed to visit Garden. We're breaking the fourth wall, not destroying it altogether!
Apart from this post, fourth wall characters are free to reply to open posts in witchesreign tagged with *post type: event or open logs in concoursec. WR players have the option of closing their posts to in-game characters only.
All BBS posts are locked to in-game characters only. 4th wall characters do not have access to any sort of logged in posts unless they hijack someone else's log-in---and in those cases, we need to know this beforehand.
And a new note: Fourth wall characters applied to the game have the option of keeping the memories of their fourth wall visit(s) here. Threads from the fourth wall event may also be used as samples.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, here is more info on Balamb Garden's facilities and layout. Additionally, some of the NPCs around and some player characters may be wearing Balamb Garden's cadet or SeeD uniform.

[Damian immediately goes limp, as if he's not really sure what to do with this thing called "affection."

Why did she have to hug him in a very, very public place?] N-neesan...

[Mikuru releases him with an embarrassed smile.] Sorry! It's just - [she ducks her head] I've missed you.

[He can't really be grumpy with Mikuru, not when she's actually admitted to missing him...

So he gives into her hug and actually wraps his arms around her waist. If he's smiling, he's certainly not calling attention to it.] Yeah? Well it hasn't been that long, has it?

[AW YEAH. Mikuru hugs back happily, but has to pause at the question, staring off out the nearest window.] It's been... [She'd count on her fingers if her hands were free, which, no.] Six months, I think? [Beat.] No, just five.

Five months too long. [He curses under his breath - not that his curses resemble ones said here at Garden - before he finally lets her go.]

So did you finally graduate? [He'd hope so, considering it looks like she's wearing a shiny Instructor's uniform!!]

[She nods, a smile ~~that I don't have icons for hurrhurr~~ widening across her face.] I even got my instructor's licence! I'm meant to be teaching a new ESL class that slows the material down to a full week instead of a half week, but I don't have students this trimester, so I've got free time.

Congratulations. On both counts.

[He grins, trying a little too hard to not hug her again. Of all the people who deserve to be SeeD, neesan's really high on that list.] Though ESL? [He should've seen it coming.] I thought you would've taken over Home Ec, but that's kinda schway. [~~The tsundere's disappearing with age.~~]

Thanks! [The grin is infectious; it is hard not to smile about her achievements when she worked so hard for them.]

Oh, no, I wouldn't want to pry Home Ec away from Pinkie Pie and Instructor Champloo; they have too much fun with it. And I kind of thought the ESL department needed someone who really knows what it's like learning English as a second language, not just people who took Old Galbadian as a foreign language or something.

[Oh god, he was trying to forget those two taught Home Ec. There's a REASON he never took it as a "legit" class.] I guess. You're probably better than whoever was teaching it last.

So what do you do in the meantime? Tutor, take on extra missions...?

Mostly I train, or work on lesson plans - my student's really easily distracted, so I'm trying to come up with ways to hold her attention.

Your one student. [Damian just shakes his head in disbelief.] Ever thought about bringing in comic books? She might react to that better.

[Only Damian would think comic books make everything better.]

[Inspired, Mikuru takes a small notepad and pen from one boot (SeeD female uniform? pockets?) and writes down "comic books".] I might try that, thank you! Now that I think about it, I might have read something a while ago about using comics in the classroom [Ranker 2007], but I didn't really keep it in mind.

[Damian's a Bat. He's seen stuff stashed in way worse places...]

They really write papers on that slag? It's kind of an obvious solution.

Maybe not as obvious as you'd think - they never used comics in my language classes. Teachers like sticking to the tried and true, I guess.

I guess. So Instructor Asahina, are we just gonna stand around here all day? Or are you going to show me your classroom?

[She wrinkles her nose.] 'Instructor' sounds weird coming from you. From anyone, to be honest. But alright, let's go!
