[For the regular denizens of Balamb Garden, it's an ordinary day...until more off-worlders start showing up, for only a few hours at a time. Unsure what to make of these more temporary visitors, the Garden faculty is holding off on registering them as cadets or offering them jobs.

[Maybe someone you know might turn up?]

Mod note, to reiterate:

Fourth wall characters can only be seen at certain hours of the day. They may appear for two hours a day, or four... or seen only in the early morning... the time doesn't matter to us, but they're not permanently here. They may return to Garden multiple times over this fortnight, but they're not around 24/7.

Like apped characters, fourth wall characters can't be ridiculously-sized. Transformers, Gundams, and similar concepts/characters will become human-sized (and in the case of mechas, not allowed altogether.)

Players (like you and me) are not allowed to visit Garden. We're breaking the fourth wall, not destroying it altogether!

Apart from this post, fourth wall characters are free to reply to open posts in witchesreign tagged with *post type: event or open logs in concoursec. WR players have the option of closing their posts to in-game characters only.

All BBS posts are locked to in-game characters only. 4th wall characters do not have access to any sort of logged in posts unless they hijack someone else's log-in---and in those cases, we need to know this beforehand.

And a new note: Fourth wall characters applied to the game have the option of keeping the memories of their fourth wall visit(s) here. Threads from the fourth wall event may also be used as samples.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, here is more info on Balamb Garden's facilities and layout. Additionally, some of the NPCs around and some player characters may be wearing Balamb Garden's cadet or SeeD uniform.

We'll have none of that attitude, thank you, Sweetie Belle! You know none of us can help the way we're born. [She continues to cheerfully trot after the slowest cadet as she talks.] And besides, just look at those uniforms!

Yeah, but the shimmer gloss fabric?

I heard some guy say they were training to be seeds, so wouldn't they look better in brown?

[And this is why she'll never get her cutie mark in being a seamstress.]

[Rarity sighs, though not unkindly.] He had the figure for it, dear! Couldn't you see?

[But then she looks thoughtful and slows to a halt, the escaping cadet forgotten.]

Although... brown, yes, perhaps... with just a splash to offset... [It's a lightbulb moment.] Ah-ha!

[And she dumps the rolls of fabric she was carrying onto Sweetie Belle's back.] Be a good girl and wait here for a minute, would you?

[And then Sweetie Belle is drowned in fabric. Obvious jokes are made. She whines a bit but does as she's told... for now. Better be quick, you know your sister has the attention span of any girl her age. Regardless, she's still smiling once she thinks things through - after all, she helped!]

[materialmare]

[Quick might have to be relative, because Rarity just ducked back into the classroom and is now browsing through the cupboards like she owns the place - which is something she's already seriously considering, honestly, if nopony else can tell her how to get home any time soon. She hums pleasantly to herself all the while.]

[sweetasabelle]

[Quick may be relative, but relatives are not quick. Sadly, Sweetie Belle's attention span doesn't hold when Rarity gets in "fabulous" mode - before long, the rolls of fabric are in a quite un-neat pile on the floor and the filly holding them is nowhere to be found.]

[materialmare]

[Presently, Rarity sticks her head back out through the doorway.] Thank you so much for waiting, darling! If you could just...

[She stops. Her eyes narrow in righteous fury.]

Sweetie Belle...

[She turns her head to one side, then the other. By this time the crowd in the hallway has thinned considerably, making Sweetie Belle's absence all the more obvious.]

Oh, where could she have gone? Sweetie Belle! Sweetie Belle!

[And so she sternly makes her way down the corridor, keeping a careful eye out for the object of her ire.

But not before stopping to hastily roll all of the fabric back up and put it back in the classroom. Some things are important.]
