PM for Commander Zabala

Commander,

You are in desperate need for someone to filter your expected, and especially unexpected, visitors. I would like to volunteer my time to act as that filter, if you would allow.

Most unfortunately, I cannot provide a physical résumé due to how classified my previous occupation was, but I can assure you I have more than enough time and experience to fulfill the duties required of the position. I would be more than willing to share it in person, however. Yes, even now, in another world, I do not trust such information to be allowed to mill about on paper. It is not for everyone to know.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Grell Sutcliff

I would appreciate the opportunity to hear your verbal resume. That would carry weight in this decision.

Certainly. The paperwork won't go anywhere while we speak.

Enter.

[She needs a secretary just to tell people to come in, it's clear.]

It's all to my benefit in the long run, isn't it? At ease. Have a seat.

[She really ought to find a better way to welcome visitors; she's starting to feel like a broken record.]

[Zabala slowly lifts one eyebrow.]

How did you come across that line of work?

[She isn't certain she believes that, but allows it to pass without comment.]

Do you still have access to any of the powers and capabilities that allowed you to perform that duty?

I see. I don't suppose you have a ready example of some of the bureaucracy involved in the job?

I find that comforting. I'd rather Death be a stickler for the details, instead of dropping off one day because someone didn't check that the person due to meet their end that day was in fact named "Zabaia" and the I was just written poorly.

No, I think I may be much happier not knowing. I'll take you at your word. I promise you that I'm less of a stickler about paperwork intended only for me, so long as what needs to happen does happen. Appointments, meetings, correspondence and so forth.

Where appropriate, of course. There are a few different ways varying things need to be done. It's an immense hassle, of course, which is why I'm seeking help,.

Because I didn't want to take any SeeDs out of mission rotation. That remains a concern still, and something I need to keep in mind as I proceed.

Indeed. I may consider dividing up the responsibility between a pair of secretaries, so that one can go on missions -- or continue to spend ample time with a family -- without leaving me supportless for the duration.
