[It's true that Tobias had been psyching himself up to go, but now that it had actually come to it, he was... well, terrified was an apt way to describe it.

[ Thumbelina makes sure that her jacket is on tight and that her boots are all laced and buckled. She has her notes of spells (in case she forgets in a moment of panic) and some bandages with her just in case. She only has a small idea of what they're up against, but still.

[Pikachu makes a clear noise of irritation at Dash for that, electricity sparking across her cheeks threateningly before Tobias reaches up to pat her gently on the head.]

She's Pikachu, my friend. She was too small to become a Guardian Force, I guess, so she's coming with me like this.

[For this excursion, Grell has decided to be a bit serious. Well, as serious as she can be. But from time to time as she stands at the Garden entrance double checking her junctions and spells, she looks as if her mind is miles away. A bit unlike Grell to be such a way.

But for the most part, she's ready for battle in her standard, non-spring/summer attire. Slacks, dress shirt, etc. Why would she wear anything different? Now if only her teammates would hurry up.]

[His blade is sharpened. His junctions at the ready, as well as spells. Gakupo is currently the epitome of readiness. Now if only he could feel that way too! He's not sure if he'll be the healer of the bunch, since he's a para-magic specialist in recovery magic (and the other two areas), so that'll be something the team should discuss.

[If it weren't for her bright pink hair, hardly anyone would recognize Pinkie Pie in her SeeD uniform. But instead of a skirt, which is impractical for battle, she's wearing pants. Combat boots, leather gloves, hair tied back with a hairtie (with sheer force), goggles, and her cupcake cannon resting on her shoulder, Pinkie starts to march off with a rather serious look on her face.

Someone should probably stop her from going into the fray alone. She's pretty good at sneaking off when no one is looking!]

Yeah, I thought so. [Pinkie gazes out towards the exit of Balamb Garden for a few quirt moments before she continues on her way, this time with Champloo.] Do you really think this will help?

Pinkie, in the Netherworld, this sort of combat was quite common. If you went into battle, it was very likely that you would be injured so badly you would need to be healed at the Hospital. It was routine. We expected it. For me, this is not necessary.

But most places are not like the Netherworld.

And I bet there's an option to fight or not. [While Pinkie doesn't think this mission is all that bad, she doesn't think they should go against the strongest monsters in this world!]

I hope we get a REAL vacation after this! [She still has vacation time to use in case they don't!]

There is only an option to not fight if you are willing to let those who ARE willing to fight have their way in all things.
