[Selphie may have been particularly and unusually quiet since she came back to Garden but hey, 22 years of catching up can take quite some time. On top of that, she had to learn how to use the laptop before she cast Firaga on it like she'd threatened when it started crashing on her. Thankfully for the Garden Tech Support staff, they gave her another laptop and instructions on how to operate it. Quiet all you tech saavy types, they didn't have laptops at Garden during the war, okay?

However, the perky brunette wasn't expecting to open the curtains in her room on this very special morning to snow. It wasn't just any snow, either. It was the snow with the big fluffy flakes that glittered in the sunlight and everyone on the second floor of the dorms is going to hear the girl squealing with delight for all it's worth. Feel free to come and find out what all the commotion is as she's scrambling to set up her webcam to start recording the gently falling flakes.]

Garden! Everybody, make a wish! If you don't know about the Snow Fairies, then you clearly haven't spent enough time at the awesomeness that is Trabia Garden!

Otherwise, snowball fight in the courtyard in half an hour. Be there or be square!

[Then she's leaning in with an excited look on her face. Really, she looks like a kid who's walked into a candy store for the first before grinning at everybody with a mischievous glint in her eyes.]

Or if you want your sheets frozen then by all means, skip out.

Selphie, out!

[And with a peace sign to the camera, the feed cuts out.]

[Selphie looks up at Piyomon curiously.]

Yeah, I guess winter isn't the best time of year for a bird. I wonder what we could do about that? An igloo, maybe?

Snowmen work!

Well, where I come from, there's one area where it's a blizzard all the time. Actually going out in there is kinda... hard.

Snowmen it is!

[Selphie listens to Piyomon before looking up at the sky thoughtfully.]

The blizzards got so bad up at Trabia when I was younger that nobody was allowed outside of the buildings until they blew over. After that, it took quite a bit of time to dig out from them to boot. So yeah, blizzards are no fun at all.

Well, at least it's not a blizzard now, right?

Well, yeah. But it still doesn't mean I'm used to wanting to play around in snow like this.

So, what better time to learn than now?

Chika's got the right attitude. C'mon Piyomon, it'll be fun!

If not, we'll just have to find a hat and scarf for you. It might be a bit hard to fly with a jacket covering your wings.

[Selphie grimaces at the mention of a blizzard.]

So glad it's not blizzard down here.

Okay, okay. I'll play for a bit. I'm not going to be that cold if it's only for a little while.

[Chika smiled.]

Awesome! You'll definitely have fun. Though if you decide you want to go back inside later let us know, and the two of us will keep playing by ourselves. Right Selphie?

[Selphie grinned excitedly.]

Yep! We'll be happy to have everybody on board though.

Okay. So how do we make snowmen?

[Chika giggles.]

It's really easy. First you need to make a massive ball of snow, then a smaller ball of snow, and then another smaller one, and stack them all on top of each other.

You ready to start, Selphie?

[Selphie nods before crouching down to begin constructing the base of their snowman.]

Let's do it! We're gonna need some fallen branches for arms though too.

[Chika giggles, moving down to help.]

I'll go ahead and look for those.

[And off the giant pink birdie goes.]

That depends. Does the beginning of the quarter count as long?

Whoa. That's not very long at all. Do you like Garden so far then? It can be a little overwhelming at first but once you settle in, you should be just fine.

[In the meantime, Selphie's rolled a fairly large base ball and has started packing in the bottom to prevent it from rolling away.]

Yeah. It's definitely nice. I never really expected to be joining a mercenary academy, but still...

[Chika's going to move to pack that ball up as well.]

... Though I really like it when we're not being attacked by Galbadia. That really sucked.

[Selphie's eyes widen visibly as her head snaps up so she can look at Chika direclty.]

Attacked by Galbadia?! Again?!

[The perky brunette looks like she might panic a bit at the mention of Galbadia attacking.]

What's going on in the world? There's so much I don't know.

[Chika sighed.]

Yep. It kinda was a shock to everyone, I think. No one expected it at all.

So the world isn't as peaceful as I thought.

[Selphie's hands stop moving for a moment before she busies herself with the snowman.]

So we'll just stop them again and as many times as it takes for them to quit being a bunch of jerks.

Yeah. I guess...

Though umm... you're a native of this world, right? Why didn't you know about that last attack?

Well...

[She'd might as well get it out of the way.]

Apparently, I've been lost in Time Compression for the past twenty-two years.

[Chika blinked. That... damn. That had to suck.]

Ouch. Well, I'm glad you're not stuck in there anymore. Being there for that long had to suck.

Well, if you even remembered it, anyway.

It felt kinda weird but it didn't feel like twenty-two years.

Anyway! What's important is that I'm not there anymore and I have no plans on going back to it either.

Yeah. Definitely, that'd suck. Having to go through with all of that again.

Still, it has to be pretty weird to be here, right? I mean, everyone talks about stuff from back then like it's a history lesson, but you were around during it, weren't you?

Yeah, repeating all of that isn't exactly on my list of priorities right now.

Ah, I've been in weirder situations. [Laguna's memories, for example.] Yeah, to me, it feels like all of that stuff was just a few weeks ago. Just as long as people don't start trying to use me as a reference for history reports, we'll be golden.

Okay. Got it. Do my own studying, don't ask you about what happened.

[She giggles, before blinking a bit and looking around.]

Piyomon's sure taking a long time. It can't be that hard to find sticks and stuff...

Maybe the sudden snowfall was too much for her?

[Selphie peers over in the direction that she saw Piyomon fly off in.]

We should go and see if she's okay.
