[Action/Open/Event] AU Event
[Riza can be found in the firing ranges, doing what she does the best. Except for one difference. She's infuriated. Beyond the norm. Why the hell, in all of her years of military service, was she missing the center of a target? She was seven yards from the damned thing and still nothing. As fast as lightning, she drops a clip from the butt of the weapon before reloading. Quickly she pops the safety off and pulls back the hammer, until she hears a bullet gently slide into the chamber barrel.
Okay, that wasn't the problem. Aim, unload. Placing the gun on the counter top in front of her as gently as her temper would allow her to, she flips a switch. Whirring mechanisms bring the paper target close to her. Upon examination, not a single shot landed where she wanted. Yanking the protective headset from her head, she throws them on the counter as well. She stands there, hands on her hips, glaring at the several years of protection that often rested upon her hip (or any other place that would allow for concealing).
Why? Why now? Is this some sort of punishment from some unknown god? Or were her weapons rigged in some way?
Trying to keep herself in check, she searches her mind for a logical solution. Maybe coming back later will fix the problem. After all, she's been going at it for hours.]

[The homunculus grins from his spot against the back wall, where he'd casually leaned for the sake of the show.]

Really.... You don't say.
[Other than not making perfect shots, she's even more agitated that those eyes that have been watching her for more than an hour-were none than him.]

I didn't ask for your opinion, Greed.
[Riza slowly begins to break the gun down, to maybe see if the problem resided with in the gun itself.]

[He's not going anywhere -- either away, or closer. For now he's content to lean and watch.]

[She couldn't help but notice her tone was becoming more and more sarcastic. Not that she was complaining. Her shooting issues were slightly more important right now. She carefully observed each piece of her weapon for cracks or slightly bent parts.]

She chuckled for a bit and turned to the homuculus. Human or not, men are strange.]
That's kind of you, Greed. But I am a grown woman. I've taken care of myself for years. I don't need your protection, or anyone's protection for that matter.

First of all, that's a lie. Maybe one-on-one, you're an even fight. Two on one, more? It becomes a lot more dicey. You don't go out on the battlefield alone, you're part of a unit. You all back up each other.
Second of all, it doesn't matter what you think you 'need'. If we're out fighting something, the only thing that matters is what happens.

But on the other hand, his former company were rogue chimera's and former military soldiers. She reminded herself.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to join him. After all, Greed doesn't seem as much of an idiot as he sounded earlier.... Maybe it was the side of him that was also the prince of Xing that influenced that.
Its not as if she hasn't been thinking about joining his "little club" for a while. But, like hell, was she going to let him know about that. She thought for a moment.]
What will it take for you to get off my back?
[Seeing nothing that would effect the accuracy of the firearm, she quickly put the instrument back together.]

You're thinking I'm on it in the first place. Look around, Lieutenant.
[He gestures sweepingly to indicate Balamb Garden at large.]
Right now we're on the same side, at least superficially. It's in my interests to look out for you, and vice versa. This isn't Amestris.
