[A red-haired teenage girl wearing a pink, rubbery space outfit walks into the Lobby.  She comes to a stop and starts glancing around, from left to right, at all the people passing by, at the directory and upward to the elevator and the ceilng.  And then, without warning, she shouts at the top of her lungs.]

I'M LOOOOOOOOOOOST!!!

[A little hunched-over from the force of his flinch, Greed sort of awkwardly claps.]

A+plus on the volume, but not much on content.

What more content do you want!? I'm lost! I don't know how I'm supposed to navigate this crazy place!

Where's my dorm? Where's the cafeteria? Where do they keep the weapons?

Can't someone tell me?

Sure. I know how you can get all that information. But nothing's free. What's it worth to you?

[weddingcrasher]

There are plenty of other people I could ask, y'know. If you're not gonna tell me anything, I'm just not gonna talk to you!

[gotgreedy]

Hey, I'll tell you. Be happy to. All I want is a fair trade.

[weddingcrasher]

So, like, what do you want me to give you? [She glares as she says this.]

[gotgreedy]

It's not much information, so I'll keep it small. How about your name and where you're from?

[weddingcrasher]

Nena Trinity, formerly of Celestial Being!

[gotgreedy]

That's a hell of a name. And I mean that for both of them. "Celestial Being"?

[weddingcrasher]

Yeah! It was an organization dedicated to ending all war in the world by fighting a war against all the countries that were at war! Hee hee!

[gotgreedy]

Oh, a "unite against us" sort of deal, huh? How'd that work out for ya?

[He's charitably assuming she's not making it up... and not-so-charitably assuming it failed horribly.]

[weddingcrasher]

......Well, it....not good.

[Nena is silent and looks sad all of a sudden. She's now thinking of just how much it all had cost her. Johann, Michael.....]

[gotgreedy]

...maybe I went too far there.

[Greed looks awkward for a moment, then points to the directory.]

Well, I got my answer, so you get yours. Directory's right there, it'll tell you where everything you'd want is.

[hotpinkwhirlwind]

[Ah, a girl after Sharpay's own heart. Shrieking like this totally gets things done; she understands.

[Sharpay taps pointedly on the directory. Her tone's somewhere between "duh" and actual helpfulness, though slightly closer to the latter:] This should help. Where are you trying to go?

[weddingcrasher]

[Nena looks at Sharpay and the directory inquisitively. How is it going to help her? Is there a map on it?]

Well, I wanna find my dorm room first. As long as I'm here I'm supposed to have one, right?

[hotpinkwhirlwind]

[Yes. Sharpay points out the dorms on it.] The dorms are directly opposite us on the other side of the lift; girls are on the left. Your letter should say where you are.

[weddingcrasher]

Wow! Thanks!

[Nena's mood has swung into a happier one.]

I'm new here! The name's Nena Trinity. Who are you?

[hotpinkwhirlwind]

[Sharpay smiles, and offers a hand to shake.] Instructor Sharpay Evans. I teach drama, and art and music; I'm also an adviser for the covert operations specialization. So if you have questions about anything around Garden... ["You can ask me," is implied, but particularly anything about any of the subjects she's just namechecked.]

[Grell just happened to pass by when the girl burst out screaming. That scared the afterlife out of her. So what does Grell do?

Yell back.]

STOP THAT BLASTED SHOUTING!

[Thats her job!]

[Oh, is that how this freak wants to play it?]

NO! NOT UNTIL I GET SOME HELP AROUND HERE!

[YEAH THAT'S HOW THIS FREAK WANTS TO PLAY IT!]

THEN YOU CAN COUNT ON ONE LESS PERSON HELPING YOU!!

[ Sigyn's making her usual after-gardening delivery of crops to drop off at her room when she hears the loud voice of Nena. Sigyn stops in her place, turning around to look back at the red-haired girl who must be no older than Sigyn herself (well, in Midgardian terms). ]

You must be part Frost Giant. Never have I heard such a voice that could bridle envy from a Giant's howl.

[ She walks over. ]

May I offer you assistance?

[weddingcrasher]

[Frost Giant...whaaaaaa? Nena shakes it off; she'll concern herself about that later. Right now she responds to Sigyn's offer.]

Y-yeah! I'm new here and I'm supposed to be part of this military school program or whatever it is, but this place is so big and so weird! I can't figure out where I'm supposed to go! I wanna see my dorm room, but I don't know where that is!

[fotlenke]

I do believe you mean mercenary. I made a similar error myself. Garden is a mercenary academy, and, I agree, it is quite big.

[ She reaches into her pocket, holding her basket of crops to her hip, and pulls out a folded up piece of paper. ]

What are your locations?

[weddingcrasher]

[A wave of relief washes over Nena. Mercenary? Thank goodness! That suits her SO much better than professional military.]

Location? For my dorm? I'm assigned to B102. You know how to get there?

[fotlenke]

Of course. I was on my way to the dorm just now. I can take you there right now.

[weddingcrasher]

Will you? [A wide smile] Gee, thanks!

I'm Nena Trinity, by the way. Hee hee!

[fotlenke]

[ She makes an awkward curtsey, as is her custom. ]

Sigyn Freyasdotter. A pleasure to meet you, Lady Trinity.

[weddingcrasher]

[Nena giggles.]

That sounds so formal! Just call me Nena!

[fotlenke]

Nena it is, then. [ she nods, smiling, rising out of her curtsey. ] If you will follow me..

[weddingcrasher]

[Nena follows behind Sigyn she walks on through the Lobby. Of all the people she'd talked with so far, Nena was glad that Sigyn was a person who was willing to DO something about the situation rather than just be all talk. And given how strangely Sigyn talked, that was certainly a good thing!]

[fotlenke]

[ They weave into the halls. ] You may find yourself with a "roommate", Nena. One not of your choosing.

[weddingcrasher]

[Nena comes to an abrupt halt.]

What!? That was never brought up before! I don't like sharing my stuff!

[fotlenke]

I am certain that you may request a transfer from the headmaster if your roommate proves to be unsavory.

[weddingcrasher]

Hmph! I guess I'll give this roomie a chance first....otherwise, I'll totally just do what you said!

[fotlenke]

Be warned! There are imbeciles and thick-headed skulls within this school. [ Edward Elric, for instance. ] One must be prepared to not hold back the hand that reprimands in their presence, lest you wish to be placed in the horrible confines of "detention".

[weddingcrasher]

[Nena resumes walking alongside Sigyn.]

Um...thanks. I'll remember that.

[fotlenke]

[ Eventually, they arrive at the building. Sigyn opens the door, and holds it open for Nena. ] After you.

[weddingcrasher]

Finally! [Nena dashes inside to check out her new room.]

[fotlenke]

What is your room number, once more?

[weddingcrasher]

Huh? Oh, B102.

[fotlenke]

That is one floor upstairs! [ She puts out a hand when they reach the stairs' landing. ]

[weddingcrasher]

All right! Thanks for showing me here, I'll pay you back somehow, I promise!

[And with a wink and a wave, Nena leaves Sigyn behind and runs on up to stairs to her destination.]
