[She usually did this sort of thing in her room, but... well, at this point, isn't she the only person left in Garden who uses gunblades? She has a proud legacy to uphold, a duty and an honor.]

[So today, the polyspecialist SeeD has camped out in the quad, with her weapons case open next to her. One of her gunblades still sits in it, as picture-perfect as anyone could ask; the other is lying in front of her in pieces, as she carefully examines and cleans each part of the revolver mechanism. She may be concentrating on her work, but not to the exclusion of the world around her -- there's something open about her, that encourages questions.]

Oh, I certainly can now! But maybe I wasn't quite as good at it as I should have been when I first went in.

[Her smile is all sunshine now, looking back on the untrained girl she was... all of a year ago.]

It's one of the first things you should learn! It's pretty much what makes us SeeDs, after all!

You'll get more used to it in time. At least, I hope so -- I know it's getting harder to go outside, these days.

That does help and I've never really had much issue back home, but my eyes tend to give it away.

[She has a feeling if she has missions off the Garden, she will have invest in something she can wear to hide her eyes]

But I know others have it harder so I'm not complaining.

Yeah, I don't envy you. I'm not sure if they'll ask you take the potion or not, honestly.

The one that makes you look more human? I don't know... I've always worn sunglasses to hide my eyes around people who have a problem with them.

Maybe they'd allow a uniform exception. That's be a lot easier.

Maybe... it would be a waste of the potion to just change how my eyes look. But it is what they decide.

You could probably get away with the skin! Maybe. If it doesn't get worse out there.

[Maria sighs, embarrassed by her entire world, it seems.]

I hope it doesn't. The people have met from this world have all been nice so far.

Well, yes, they've really only been people here who know about this.

I've heard some unpleasant stories from some offworlders who ran into the wrong people when they ended up here. Sometimes I wonder if there's a lot who don't make it here...

Oh... I'm glad that I didn't run into the wrong person. I hope there aren't others who didn't make it.

[Her eyes have focused far away, but she brings herself back to the here-and-now with a slight shake of the head.]

[She quickly double-checks her gunblade, then sets it back into its case with a smile.]

[Rising, she scoops up the case with no sign of effort, though to judge by the sudden tension of cable-like muscles under her skin, the thing must weight a great deal. She gestures towards the door.]

[Koriand'r glances over as she picks it up. It didn't look that heavy, but it clearly had some weight to it. She smiles and heads towards the door of the training center]
