Got a question for you all out there... at least, the ones I've never asked this of before.

What's magic like on your worlds? Did it exist? Could anyone use it, or was it in the hands of just a few? Did it terrify people, like it does here? Was there a substitute for it?

No deep reason, just curious. My own world has a lot of similarities to this one, that way. Makes me wonder what other ones are like.

That... is weird. Is there some history there? If magic's been used for something terrible in the past, that's at least some explanation...

No idea. I wasn't much of a magic scholar.

From what I can tell, metahumans've always been hero-focused and open about saving the world, whereas wizards deal with more supernatural things that civilians don't understand. I think it's a lack of understanding and perception? You fear what you don't know, etc.

So they're not front-and-center showing off what they can do for people. Makes sense to me, I can see how that'd work.

Not necessarily agree with it, but see it.

It's weird. Most people don't have powers, but as long as you save the world, they're okay with it. I wouldn't call it outright prejudice so much as ignorance.
