Izaya is bored in the Med Ward. (Loafin' around the infirmary.)
[ Izaya sighs looking over his paperwork. So he had a roommate and was going to be going back to school. He wouldn't say he was excited, but oh well, at least now he could learn how to eliminate get Shizuo out of his hair-- maybe. He set the papers down and groans with a hint of irritation. ]
I need to get out of here! This is so irritatingly boring! ヽ(#`Д´)ノCan't anyone just die so I can get some kind of entertainment out of my situation?!
[ He pulls back a layer of his hospital gown and pokes at his wound, ouch... it's still tender. He goes to tie his robe shut again but decides to say screw it for now, no one was looking at him anyway... ]
((OOC: In the infirmary after the fall? Just want to visit? Please keep him company ^^~~))

The point is there's potential for something juicy. Like maybe a lover's quarrel. Or a jilted lover's revenge. Or something.
Not to mention puncture wounds in of themselves are fascinating in nature, given all the complications that can present depending on the depth, angle, and type of wound in addition to any number of possible contaminants and--
Okay, the point is Shinra's bored and a stab wound's the most excitement they've had around here since the Garden fell into the sea. So here he is, venturing into the infirmary to see who is recovering from a stab wound.
...
...
...
Is that-- ]
Izaya?

(*´Д`)=3
Oh. My. God. Really? I ask for entertainment and you send me Shinra Kishitani? Yeah, I really don't believe in god now... ]
Shinra? Why are you here? Did we both get sucked here?
no subject
But tell me! What happened to you? I see you've gotten stabbed~~~
Who was it? The Yakuza? ...no, in that case you'd be dead. Hm.
no subject
[ He blinks and sighs, of course, this is Shinra. He smirks some and tilts his head to the side. ]
If you want to look, there is a fee. You know I value information as much as money.
[ For the time being, he would avoid answering questions about his wound. ]
no subject
Tell you what, then, Izaya~ Since you value information so much, I'll answer three questions for you if you let me take out your stitches and put them back in!
no subject
Oh, dear genie of information, I wonder how much you actually know. Will it really be worth it. Well, you always were a bit of a gossip.
[ Izaya sighs and wonders just how desperate he is... His smirk returns. ]
Give me a freebie and I will consider it. Besides you and I, who else is here? Ah, and outside of Celty, too. I will assume she is here because if she wasn't you would have already offed yourself.
no subject
I arrived with Celty, and you're the first familiar face I've seen.
If you're worried about whether or not the rest of my information is useful, well~ That's just a risk you'll have to take, isn't it? I've been here for a few weeks already, though.
no subject
I am sure you are elated to see me, correct me if I'm wrong.
[ He struggles to keep his hand away from his wound, still in excruciating pain as it throbbed beneath the bandages. He grits his teeth and tries to mask it behind a Cheshire grin. ]
So, it is probably knowledge I can also obtain just as easily then, huh?

Appearing out of thin air, Albert strolled past a few nurses before peeking into the room nearby.]
Ah, so you are the unlucky young man?
[He chuckled lightly as he walked into the room.]
No, no. I am mistaken. I suppose I should refer to you as lucky considering your wounds.
I will make better Icons when my computer is finished loading windows 7 ;A; sorry!!
Lucky is a very subjective word. Do you believe in luck?
[ He tilts his head to the side, his eyes attentive to this mans every move. ]
The icons are fine!
Not usually, but I suppose one would need a little bit of luck in order to survive all the trials that Life tosses their way.
Not really ;A; And I dislike using non official art.
I don't believe that at all. Nothing is coincidence, it's just patterns repeating themselves over and over.
no subject
Then I take it you aren't fond of the notion of fate or destiny, either. How droll.
no subject
That isn't to say that there is no puppeteer in the shadows pulling the string.
[ Izaya smile darkened but remained, obviously having fun with this conversation. Ah, nothing like a steaming cup of philosophy in the morning. ]
no subject
[A thoughtful look lingered upon Albert's aged features as he eyed the boy with a true look of intrigue.]
What an interesting thought. I do believe there's an old saying that fits that idea, one involving a wolf in sheep's clothing.
no subject
And what of the shepherd? Surely you cannot leave him from the equation.
no subject
[ Albert chuckled. ]
In a sense, he's no better then the wolves, but the sheep are blind to this fact.
no subject
[ He feels a twinge of respect for this man, glad he had seen the point of his words without explanation-- he was not used to people being able to follow what he was saying. He nods some and holds his smirk. ]
I'm Izaya.
no subject
[Let's just say that Albert knows of one black sheep who managed to cause enough trouble to foil all of his schemes. That one little sheep was more than enough to convince others to turn against the devoted shepherd.]
A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Izaya. [At that, he bowed gracefully towards the youth in a show of his proper nature. Standing upright again, Albert's smile returned.]
I am Roger Bacon, an Instructor hopeful. I have yet to gain my credentials yet, but the day shall come.
Are you a newcomer here?
no subject
[ An instructor, huh? Prospective or not, Izaya was already scheming. He grins sarcastically. ]
I was not aware Bacon could be a last name. I will take note of that.
[ He pats his wound lightly and sighs, a bit of a forced frown on his lips. ]
Yeah, I'm new-- Sure picked a hell of a time for me to arrive-- the time continuum, I mean.
no subject
Is that mirth I hear in your tone, Izaya? [ A pause. ] Or rather should I refer to you as Isaiah instead? Your name, it's Japanese is it not? It seems to be so, but it sounds remarkably similar to the name of another...
[The Prophet Isaiah, Albert remembered studying that man briefly during his days within the Order.]
Ah, you speak of the Time Compression. Hm. So someone stabbed you before you could be swept up within this vile current.
What happened? A dispute gone wrong I assume.
no subject
[ He adjusts his gaze to assess his surroundings-- it still appeared to only be the two of them in the room. Izaya's eyes meet Roger's and his hollow smiled beams at him. He knew of Japan, meaning they were likely from the same world. Good. ]
My parents were a bit eccentric when it came to naming. So you know the prophet I was named after then, huh? Are you a man of religion?
[ Izaya looks down to his wound and sighs again. ]
Yeah, compression. The words became muddled in my mind-- I am sure you know that English is not my first language, after all. And yes,
[ His mood darkened. ]
I was checking on my sheep and didn't notice a wolf in the midst.
no subject
I suppose you could say that. [He replied nonchalantly despite the deep seeded loathing he has for Christianity.]
I am more of a scholar than a holy man these days, but half a century ago, I was a friar.
[It was absolutely delicious how his lies meshed so well with the truth, at least for Albert.
Giving Izaya a slightly curious gaze, the cardinal smiled once he caught the meaning behind their earlier conversation. Another shepherd? No, more like a loyal sheep dog...]
The wolf must have baited you using that sheep of yours, a shame. Unfortunately, I share a similar tale, but my story stars of a black sheep who paired up with a wolf.
[He was speaking of Alice & Yuri, but there was no reason to state names just yet.]
no subject
[ He laughs in a less than pious manner, though soon after he winces, grinning tightly, his eyes showing signs that he was suffering from very sharp pain. God, his whole body was killing him. Izaya knew he had a fever, but why was his heart beating out of his chest? Whatever, he would fake it. He was used to being abused by Shizuo as it was, like he would let a 6 inch stab wound end him. ]
I'm afraid the wolf didn't bait me, so much as he followed my scent and I was too wrapped up with my sheep to notice. Trust me, if he had wanted me dead, I would be.
[ He even remembered his attackers words. Perhaps it was better that he was here-- if he had stayed in Japan much longer, he'd be a dead man, for sure. ]
no subject
[While Albert may have seemed more interested in their conversation than in the boy's health, nothing escapes his observant gaze. Izaya was in agony, perhaps more so than he lets on. It was mildly humorous to watch the false prophet suffer, amusing because Izaya reminded him slightly of Wugui. That small time Hong Kong mobster wasn't hardly as intelligent as Izaya, but he was prideful enough not allow his agony to show when Albert experimented on him using the Emigre Manuscript.]
Now here's the part I would claim your good fortune to be willed by the hands of Lady Luck, but I shall spare you from such.
[He smiled.]
no subject
Not luck, good sir. He still had a use for me and that is something I can control. I made myself useful and despised. But I can't help myself. Sheep are my calling.
[ He smiles back at him, this time with less malice and more understanding. ]
no subject
[Albert's smile continued to grow.]
It takes a man of character to cheat death, young man. I suppose you are more charismatic than you seem. I wonder how many of the sheep here will take to you.
[Considering how dull witted a majority of the youngsters are here, the warlock was sure that Izaya caught the meaning of his last words.]
Think of the Garden as the green open pastures if you will. There are plenty of sheep amongst us, but very few shepherds.
no subject
[ Izaya grins, his hand waving some so as to dismiss the praise. He laughs and rests his thumb on his nose for a moment, sneering sarcastically, still ignoring his pain. ]
Do you mean to say I do not come off as charismatic? I am heartbroken. Well, now, I will just have to chalk it up to my injury. I do hope it will not get in my way of becoming a charmer around here.
[ He lowers his voice, offering up a question. ]
But then, Shepherd, what of you? What of your flock? Hypothetically, it's always best to brand ones livestock while they can, right? Though, sharing a trail with the neighbors will eliminate a lot of problems on route from farm to slaughter. Hmm.
no subject
I am certain that once you've been healed, you'll exceed my expectations quite easily.
[At Izaya's metaphorical question, the warlock took a moment to ponder his reply. The only true goal he had existed in his realm, not this one, but Albert's plans weren't set in stone. The destruction of his world would lay waste to the evils that lurk upon it, creating an utopia from its ashes. However, how can he proceed with his scheme if he was trapped here within this realm?]
My flock, while few in numbers, exist here as well. I care not for what the sheep do, but I am forever vigilant. My goals lies upon the greener pastures from whence I came, however the black sheep and the wolf exist here.
It would seem I will have to be meticulous in my planning, but this Time Compression shall remain a focus of intrigue for this Shepherd. That is, until I find something worthy enough for intrigue beyond this world interesting pastures.
no subject
[ So, he has already come up with expectations? Izaya was amused. He tilts his head to the side and grins in an almost cruel matter. Oh, Shepherd. I believe you might have said too much. It seemed to Izaya that this man, Roger, was still not out of the woods of his issues quite yet. Izaya however was on the path to a fresh start-- though it was unlikely he would do much different from before. ]
I just want to enjoy the ride. Chaos is the cauldron of mystery, and I major in the unknown. Nothing is more thrilling to me than solving the puzzles of life around me.

Is Izaya decent under that hospital gown?Either way, Axel slips into the Infirmary and looks around.]no subject
Oh, well hello. It's the guy with the exceptionally interesting hair. Is it full of secrets or something? Is that why it's so big?
[ He smiles casually, no malice in his eyes. ]
no subject
For me to know and you to find out.
It's not the only thing that's big, either.no subject
[ He smirks, thinking of his cat-eared acquaintance. He pulls his top closed and looks back to Axel. ]
no subject
...A friend?
[Axel doesn't think anyone he's met around here looks particularly like him. Although come to think, didn't the Princess mistake him for someone else?]
You wouldn't know a princess kitty-helmet, would you?
no subject
Ah, so she is here. Which means... Does she usually hang around a rather weak looking doctor? Ah, he's always in a white lab coat and glasses. And does she lack an ability to speak?
[ My, my. Maybe things would be interesting here after all. ]

[ Izaya snickers, his eyes scanning the room, recalling a certain incident and the first time he heard Celty's voice. Suddenly he winces, holding his side... god, the pain was excruciating... but he just grins wider, trying to hide it. Through the pain, he spoke casually. ]
So how do you know her? The black rider-- or whatever name she has given you.
no subject
I 'borrowed' her... 'cellphone'.
no subject
[ He grins some, amused by the tale he was weaving. ]
