[BBS] It would help if I actually knew what his classes were

Hi.

I kind of got really sick again after the trip to Dollet, so I'm in the infirmary again... I don't know how long I'll be here for this time, but I'm hoping it won't be more than another week. Maybe by then, I'll be well enough to start doing things again!

So I guess until then, I won't be able to go to any of my classes, or uh, do much of anything else... But I do have this laptop, so I can still be on the BBS!

So, yeah. I hope I don't miss too much until then!

[To his credit, Damian's trying not to stare. The poor kid looks really sick - and he's not sure what happened this time, but he figures he'll be better off if he doesn't ask. He flinches, but focuses his gaze on the comic books he'd handing over instead.]

Could we at least get you a breather or something? Slag, even the asthma kids don't have it this bad.

It lets you breathe when you're having an asthma attack? I think they used to call them inhalers? [He shrugs.] I don't have asthma, so I don't know much about it.

Oh, yeah, inhalers!

Well, I don't really have asthma either, heh, so I'm not sure if it'd help. I don't think it's a problem with me breathing...more just what I'm breathing, if that makes sense.

Maybe you're allergic to pollen.

[Damian probably shouldn't be allowed to diagnose people like this...] Sinc you only get sick when you go outside, and everyone knows that pollen allergies can get pretty bad... maybe it's that.

Huh. I didn't really think about it like that...

It might be a pollen allergy! But still...I get sick like this sometimes not from just going outside. That's--that's just usually how it happens, heh.

Then I've got no idea what it is. [shrugs] It's not like you're a patient in Sorry or something.

It's okay. We didn't know back home either what it was... That's probably why we didn't have any medicine for me to keep things like this from happening.

If even people back home didn't know, I don't think this world can be much more helpful.

... So how long do you think you'll be here this time?

I don't know...I hope less than a month, though!

That's still a long time. I guess we'll just have to play board games until you're well enough for more vid games.

I hope not! I think it would be kind of...disappointing if this world didn't have it.

[He sighs, reluctantly getting up.] I've gotta head back to class ["even if I skipped some of it"] but try not to get hurt while you're here.

I-I'll try! But I think I'll be fine--it looks pretty hard to get hurt when you're in bed in an infirmary like this!

You'd be surprised. Some idiots've managed the impossible. [Only Damian would manage to get himself back IN the infirmary two seconds after leaving it.

But he's off for the time being - at least, until their next game of Scrabble.]
