Hey Commander,
Are you free today or sometime this week? Headmaster told me that I should probably talk to you about something I've got planned for next month. It's got nothing to do with Disciplinary Committee stuff; actually, it's more along the lines of stuff from my homeworld.

I'll explain in detail whenever you've got time. It's one of those things that's easier in person.

[Since Damian's got very little to do this Quarter beyond taking age-appropriate classes, he's taken to causing small bits of mischief while he's out and about. Today's bit of mischief? He's checked out a few books from the library... and arranged them in a circular fashion like so in one of the classrooms on campus.

There's some from his own collection tossed in there, of course, but it's mostly Library books. Once he's done, he admires his handiwork before arranging another pattern. And another.

Boredom really does do strange things to people...]

[Oh no, who left these books here? Now she's going to have to ask, because she definitely didn't check any of these out (she recognizes a library book when she sees one, obviously). And some of them aren't even from the library... it would be wrong to just keep them!

Then again, they had to have been placed deliberately...]

[Very deliberately indeed! Damian's still working on his current pattern when he notices Twilight. He looks up and tries to look somewhat innocent:]

Are you looking for something?

I am! Well, actually, I'm looking for someone, and that would be whoever checked out and/or owns these books. Not all of them are from the library, you see.

[Headtilt.] And why would you be looking for him?

Well I couldn't just let someone leave a perfectly good book lying around! I was a librarian before I came here.

[The private message waiting for Squall had caught him by surprise. He had no clue who this "Damian Razem" was, and he wasn't sure if he was supposed to know. With so many people coming and going it was hard to keep track -- and besides, he's never been good at remembering people. His people skills had improved, but not that much.]

[After arranging to meet with Damian in one of the classrooms, Squall makes his way down there. That's where he's standing now, watching the young male stack the books in different patterns. It's only slightly more interesting than watching paint dry, so Squall decides that enough is enough.]

You're Damian?

[If he hadn't been waiting on Squall, Damian would've been caught off-guard by the other's voice. Instead, Damian calmly finishes his current pattern before he turns to face Squall. Promptly holding out his hand, he nods.]

That's right. [He laughs, motioning for Squall to sit at the other end of the table. This classroom's unusual in that it has one long round table and chairs around it, versus the usual individual desks set-up, but it works perfectly for what he's about to do.] It's nice to finally meet you, Commander. I've heard a lot of good things.

[Squall, being...well, Squall, decides to be difficult and doesn't sit down. He remains where he's at, making a face at the title.]

(Good things? Since when?)

What is it you wanted to show me? [To the point, as always.]

[Oh okay. Standing's cool too, though Day was kind of hoping they would sit down because this explanation's kind of long. He shrugs, handing over a manilla folder titled 'Ramadan'.]

Back home, we observed something called "Ramadan." It's a lunar month where Muslims - people like me - fasted during daylight hours to honor our God.

I was hoping I could host some kind of dinner for the entire student body to educate them about it, or something similar. I'm not expecting everyone to observe it, because that would be stupid, but I don't want it to be ignored by everyone either.

[After a pleasant chat in German, sorry, Old Trabian with the LAN 101 instructor, Touma's heading back downstairs when he catches movement in one of the classrooms out of the corner of his eye.

[Huh.]

Cadet Razem, what are you doing?

[I'm sorry, Damian, Touma has no appreciation for art.]

[Busted.

Damian shoots Touma a guilty smile before gesturing towards his masterpiece:] Making art! I'm gonna take pictures once I'm all done and give them to the Photography instructor.

[He's not even taking ART 103, but details.]

... Right. [He's not entirely convinced, but this seems harmless enough, not to mention less likely to land the kid back in the infirmary.] Just make sure you return the books or at least get them out of the way when you're done.

Yeah, yeah, don't worry. [He's humming as he continues the finishing touches on his current pattern... and curiously enough, it's bird-shaped.] This isn't the worst thing I've done since I've been here.

[the strange patterns wouldn't be normally obvious, but when Damian's been making so many of them, it would eventually catch her attention. so she approaches with a grin and tries to see if she could rearrange them into a pyramid.

[It takes him a moment to notice, but once he does? He's just gonna watch amusedly.]

A pyramid? I'd say schway, but it doesn't go with my stars.

[she turns to face him with a grin.]

Maybe something more circular would go with them, then! It's too bad we can't draw all over the place too.

I'm trying to have fun, not detention. [Nevermind that he can just seamlessly erase his detentions from his permanent record because he's the head of the Disciplinary Committee...]

But circular might work. What were you thinking of?

[Sharpay just watches him for a moment, quietly confused.]

There are better ways of getting my attention than making a mess of my classroom. [Disapproval? No: Bemusement.]

[Ohshi---this is HER classroom?

Day looks like a deer in headlights before he nervously coughs and starts putting all of those books in neat, normal stacks.] I-I figured, ma'am.

[Only years of drama are keeping her from laughing right now.]

Did you want anything, or are you just here to redecorate?

Just redecorating. [He shakes his head, putting some of those books in the bags he originally brought them in.] It was only temporary, anyways.

[Artemis isn't even going to ask what he's doing, because she figures it's just a product of boredom. Which if it hasn't been obvious lately, is something she's all too familiar with.]

[He's all ready to huff and puff and protest, but....]

Sure. [He shrugs, handing over some comic book trades and a couple of other books he snagged from the library.] Do whatever you want, as long as it looks somewhat schway.

[Please, protesting wouldn't have done any good and he knows it.]

So don't throw them around like I think they're ninja stars, just to see where they fall? Got it.

[Her sense of humor really sucks sometimes.]
