[Anyone who steps outside today -- either in the course of their normal business, or because they hear the rush of air over wings or the swoosh of a body outside the walls -- will get a treat.]

[Rainbow Dash is practicing. And no one flies better than Rainbow Dash.]

[Up and over the great ring above Balamb Garden she soars, rainbow wake trailing behind her, then through it and around it, drawing spirals around its length. Down she swoops, through the protrusions atop the Garden. A roll, a twist, a magnificent display as she rounds the building as a whole -- then as she whips down towards the entrance gate and through it, she misjudges something. A wing angle or a split-second timing, who can be sure? The air goes out from her wings and she slams into the ground, skipping once, then skidding to a halt not far from the entrance proper.]

[It isn't the first mistake she makes. It won't be the last. Practice makes perfect, and like the times before, she'll be up in a moment to get back to work. Just... give her that moment.]

It's probably because the only thing with wings around here are birds and chocobo! No one thinks they're awesome, though, because...of reasons!

Chocobos... I've heard one or two people mention them, but what ARE they?

You don't have to keep it once the project is over! There's a farm chock FULL of chocobo!

[She's almost offended! That's like throwing a party just for yourself!]

You can't really keep a chocobo here once it gets bigger! There's not enough space! You wouldn't want to hurt it, do you? You might even hurt someone else!

[She doesn't understand why Dashie is so upset.]

Then I'll be happy with the pet I have. [She folds her forelegs determinedly.]

[So now Pinkie has to look to Rainbow Dash seriously, and a bit sad.]

You know, one day, I'll have to let Gummy go, because he'll be way too big for Garden and the dorms! He won't be a baby alligator forever! So I'm making sure that he gets big and strong before then.

[She crosses her own arms as well.]

I hope you don't have to do that with Tank. There's nothing wrong with helping the chocobo farm raise the chocobos. Garden is doing pretty much the same thing for you!

Think about that. [Pinkie just walks away.]
