[There is a unicorn trotting around the Garden.

Probably not one of the more common sights in this place, really, but there she is, on her way to the library, talking to herself the entire time. Hey, she's just got herself a new job, in a new world with a fashion sense she's not in the right place to properly observe, and she needs to research.]

I simply must see what this... this "world's" fashion history looks like. Would they keep books on such things in a school library? Or will the school's more brutish subject matter dominate?

If that is the case, I will just have to request new books!

I would rather purchase them myself for a shelf of inspiration, but it would appear I have no gil to speak of. The library is a vital resource, and I expect it to have the proper materials.

A lending library is almost always woefully understocked, it seems. Never what one needs, always countless volumes of things of no bearing.

It's simply tragic. Alas, we must go on... and buy our own books, no matter how limited our shelf space or how briefly you need them.

Given the martial inclinations of this academy I'm afraid that the library itself will yield a disappointing result. There should be something pertaining to pop culture floating around somewhere, however - universal displacement doesn't seem to have lessened some people's voracious appetites for trashy anthologies or gossip rags.

Well, thank you for your advice, but I still require material with a focus on fashion and design. Not "trash." My tastes are much more refined than the gossip of the day. Though I suppose a glimpse couldn't hurt.

It would give you a firm standing on where not to stray, if nothing else. Pure fashion doesn't seem to be a particularly pressing concern in this world.

And Merlin is just going to stare at her with a mixture of wonder, amazement, and awe. A unicorn! He never thought he'd see another one again, and not here of all places, but it makes him feel giddy to have been privileged enough to have seen two unicorns.

The purple hair is...well, different. Although she is a creature of magic, and it's not like Merlin is an expert on unicorns. But as far as he knows, unicorns can't speak.]

I dunno if the library has a lot on it, but I bet some of the bookstores in the city would have stuff!
