[There is a sudden and loud CRASH resounding from the library. Books lie strewn across the floor and papers float harmlessly through the air back down to the ground. One of the book shelves had fallen forward and took a few others down with it, leaving a chaotic trail of literature destruction in its paths.

Somewhere in the middle of all this is Vriska, undoubtedly the culprit of such a mess. She just stands there and runs a hand through her hair as a tic under her eye forms. Maybe it would be best if she just left before anyone could (accurately) pin this on her...]

[Merlin had been in the library himself, trying to secretly read up on this world's magic when he'd heard the crash. Quickly he shoved the book he'd been reading under some other book on a completely non-magical and not at all suspicious subject.

Then he went to find out what the source of the crash was, and he immediately wished that he hadn't.]

Oh, not another troll...

[So much for escaping right away. She spins around to glare at him.]

[... But she can't really argue with him on either points. Trolls are- were power-hungry and rude and troublesome, excluding a few here and there... and she was definitely guilty of knocking those books over. As a SeeD she knew she couldn't get away with it (when there was a witness), but still.

I'll help you clean up. [Said with a smile, as Mikuru places the books on a nearby table before going back for some more.]

... Oh. Yeah. [8luh 8luh. She starts picking up a few books herself, feeling awkward as she does it. Being a responsible person is such a hassle.]

[She shrugs, not entirely willing to admit she was getting a bit bored of studying. Yeah, it's the holidays, but finals will be upon her soon...] I just like helping.

[Well, she won't complain any further. She just continues picking up books and dumping them unceremoniously on the table.]

[As they clear more of the books, Mikuru tries to lift one of the shelves to its original position...try being the operative word.]

... [Vriska stops in what she was doing (abusing books) and watches her for a good minute.]

What are you doing?

[bunnypassingby]

I'm... [Struggle.] trying to put the shelf back up.

[f8tal]

By yourself. [A deadpan. Girl doesn't even look like she could lift a small dog... okay so maybe that's dramatization, but still!]

[Accurate! Until she gets some decent spells to junction.]

[Whelp. Guess who was on one side of those bookshelves that fell over? Yup. There is a catlike wail then a hiss and then they are being lifted up by a very irritable looking catgirl]

[Not like she hasn't broken several dozen rules...]

Ughhhhhhh! [She growls and reaches down to pick up a book and

chuck it at Nepeta's head.]

[AND WE ARE DUCKING. She sticks her tongue out at Vriska and then dashes out the library, giggling]

[Karkat spent a good amount of his waking hours in the garden's library. It was full of knowledge, which he needed, and usually full of quiet, which he also needed, in order to absorb the knowledge present.]

[Of course, Vriska was currently in a state of disrupting the quiet that was normally present in aforementioned library. He scowled at the crashing, and stalked toward the source of the sound in order to give the creator a bit of a verbal smackdown.]

[He made a horrendously irritated sound when he rounded a corner and saw Vriska as the cacophony's culprit.]

Oh for the love of-- Jegus fuck, Vriska, do you have to go making a racket and destroying everything everywhere you go? Is that really completely necessary, are you incapable of not being the hugest nuisance possible for a troll at all times?

[Already she was grinding her teeth the moment she heard his stupid shrill voice enter her range of hearing.

She spins around, lips pursed and eyes half-lidded.]
