[This week is BREAKFAST WEEK, and since Pinkie pretty much eats sugar for breakfast, everyone is going to catch random cotton candy clouds!

No, this is not a trick or joke! Seems like Balamb Garden is still plagued with weird events. The trees have green trunks and brown leaves, the flowers are singing seasonal songs, and Pinkie is on a trampoline with a large net. That last part is not so out of the ordinary, however.]

And do you take no delight in seeing others enjoy a cupcake you have made for them? Does giving a person a gift warm your heart no more than gazpacho?

Suppose a friend desires chocolate muffins. What do you do?

Get them one! And one for myself!

But what if the cupcakes that magically appear from nowhere are not chocolate?

We'll just have to eat them anyway! We can't waste good cupcakes!

But could you not give the non-chocolate cupcakes to other people, and bake chocolate ones for your friends?

Because then your friends get the kind of cupcakes they want, and other people get cupcakes they did not expect! There is more enjoyment all around!

...maybe, but my friends aren't THAT picky! Except Rarity. But she's a special case!

Perhaps not picky, but would they not feel honored and pleased if you made an extra-special effort to give them what they wanted?

Also, it would be a very sad world for me indeed if a pie I baked for you had no more meaning than one you found simply lying on your pillow.

Hyahya! Pinkie, if you were to bake me a pie, then would you not be happier if I liked it a little more than a pie I found at random?

No no, that was another of my many food-related metaphors. It means that a treat you bake for me means more to me, because you made it for me.

Ah ha! Perhaps this will make it clear. A well-made pie is delicious food no matter where it comes from. But a pie you make and give to another is not only delicious food! It is also a gift you have given them!
