Hello? I think I'm doing this right. Although I'm not really sure that I believe that other people will really be able to read what I'm writing as if by magic. (Is it really not magic? Because I just don't see how that can work.) And it seems like a very complicated way to try and talk to people. It's like someone's tried purposefully tried to make them so that they require as many complicated and nonsensical actions as possible. I should introduce myself, shouldn't I? I'm Merlin. This is very odd, introducing yourself to people you can't see. Don't any of you find this weird? I think it's weird. Almost as weird as everything else in this place. I'm beginning to think that there isn't anything at all here that's normal. Do you know that I've already had a girl with pink hair make it rain chocolate milk on me? I didn't even think you could have milk that was chocolate, let alone making it rain. I can't think of anything else to write now. What are you meant to do when you finish one of these? Do you just sign your name like a letter? I hope I'm not doing this wrong. From, Merlin

Well, yes. But you're always meant to sign letters, even when the person you're sending them to knows who they're from. This isn't like that? Oh, that's what those numbers mean? Wouldn't it have been easier to just put our names their instead? That's still a long time. How long have some people been here? And does anyone ever manage to get home? Fro-

Sounds like leaving really complicated notes if you ask me. And how do you know that someone isn't actually pretending to be someone else? Years?! I can't be here for years! Can anyone do anything to make it so they can go home earlier? And what's the time compression thing?

So basically there's no way to know unless you go through a really complicated process of checking everything by hand? Great. Wait, so it doesn't matter how long I'm here - when I go back to Camelot, it'll be as if I never left? Is that right? Someone screwed up all of time and space? How?! And who was it?

I could ask in the class I have about them? They did only teach me how to use this 'bbs' thing today. I really don't understand much how any of this works. You won't be the only one! Well, Arthur's not my best friend, but he'll definitely kill me. I was supposed to be polishing his armour. Though on the bright side, at least while I'm here I don't have to wash his socks anymore! I tried looking for books in the library. I got stuck trying to figure out how to use the catalogue.

It's kind of complicated. Arthur's the crown prince, and I'm his manservant. So I do actually have to clean his socks. And his armour. And sharpen his swords, and look after his horses, and fetch his breakfast...if he wasn't the prince though, I think we would be friends. Why would I take out weapons at a library?!

Well, if your friend isn't a crown prince who's father might go and decide to make your their manservant, I think you should be safe. Do you always go around showing your weapons to people?

As long as you don't need to throw them at me to show me, sure. But I'm not really that big on weapons. That's more Arthur's thing. Being 'trained to kill since birth' and all. [if only text could properly communicate the way that Merlin is rolling his eyes right now]
