[Action/Anywhere in the Garden] What is this off-day you speak off?

[Ronnae had attended all her classes, done all her assignments and then some, studied ahead for material that would be coming in the next couple of weeks and finished all the extra credit homework she had asked for.... She had taken on this load so she'd keep busy and wouldn't have to leave her dorm room... Which had been unusually quiet to be honest.

Now however, with lack of things to do, she found herself braving the Garden on a little personal tour. She might as well explore as much as she could while the halls weren't packed with people. You would find her anywhere and everywhere as she made her way through the areas that looked emptier, exploring as much as she could.]

[Outside the training center, a girl paces somewhat nervously, arms folded across her chest. Every so often she looks up at the corridor, frowns, considers, and then returns to pacing.]

[Ronnae knew the training center all too well, she spent enough time there training when she had the time. However seeing someone pacing outside of it was not something she'd seem before.

She hesitated for a moment before approaching the girl.]

H-hey there.... are you alright?

I don't know if I should go in or not! I learned how to Junction now so it should be safe, but they didn't exactly give us permission, and I know how to fight but I've never really done any fighting, and I don't know how to use magic yet so I can't heal myself, but I really want to practice!

[All of that at top speed and a little manic.]

[Ronnae blinked a few times as the girl went on about what the problem was, a small awkward smile rising on her lips as she tilted her head.]

Oh then why don't you keep to near the entrance. If things get rough you can always flee. Noting wrong about making a tactical retreat and coming back better prepared...

[She thought for a moment, looking at the training center, then at the girl]

I could always accompany you as well, in case you need assistance.

[She pouts a little at the first suggestion.]

I HATE the idea of running. I know I shouldn't, but --

Oh, would you?!

I'd feel a lot better if someone was with me...

There's really nothin' wrong with running. I hate giving up, but if you end up dying because you didn't do a momentary retreat, you might as well have given up on everything.

And, I... I don't mind. Sure~

I know. I just - I would feel terrible, you know? To have come this far and then have to run from some weak monsters in the Training Center. It's just -- am I moving too fast? Am I getting ahead of myself? I don't know --

But if someone is there it makes it a lot better! Hold on, I'm gonna go get my weapons!

[And she's off like a shot for the dorms.]

[And she was gone, before she could reply to anything she said. Ronnae looked in the direction in which she left, somehow... she reminded her a bit of herself. Before the war. In any case, she'd hardly need her armor, having grown so used to the creatures in the Training Center, they really were beyond her abilities, not really putting much of a fight. So her beloved twin words at her sides would be more than enough if things got out of hand for the girl.

And as such, she waited, humming a pleasant tune to herself.]

[She isn't gone long -- it's just a couple of minutes before she comes dashing back down the corridor, a harness around her torso and what appear to be a pair of pistol grips visible over her shoulders.]

[Ronnae smiles and nods, accompanying the girl inside.]

I'll be accompanying you, so don't be afraid to call for assistance if you think you can't handle whatever pops out okay?

[She kept her tone sweet and friendly as she usually did. The girl seemed nice enough after all.]

Oh -- I'm Maria, by the way!

[She offers a hand and a grin as she gets closer.]

Oh, ah pleasure meetin' ya Maria.

[She shakes her hand and smiles, doing a low bow]

I'm Ronnae, Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos.

It's nice to meet you! I really appreciate the help, by the way.

[She turns to head down the hall to the training center, revealing that the weapons on her back are in fact gunblades, held in place blade-up by what appeared to be a magnetic grip holster.]

[Who pays attention to where he's going? Not Zak. He's too busy with his nose buried in a book--studying for TAC 101, it seems. So he brushes on by and probably bumps shoulders with the poor girl. Because he can't watch. He gives out a grunt and looks startled for a moment. Hellooooo offworlder!]

Uhhh, sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going. I didn't mean anything by it.

[The bump was something she wasn't expecting but she'd had her fair share of jerks bumping into her to cause her to fall or just to be mean. His apology did come as something refreshing and something she didn't get often... which in turn cause her to blush slightly.]

You're an offworlder, huh? Haven't seen you around before. [Or anyone like you, his tone says, but there really isn't any malice in it, and maybe even a little bit of dull curiosity.]

[She bowed low, her long ponytails almost sweeping the floor due to their length before she stood up again.]

So what're you studying? I figured it wouldn't hurt to brush up on Tactics before we get into the hard stuff, you know?

I still have to figure out my major, too. Talked a lot about needing to figure it out, but I haven't actually done any of it.

[He gives off something of a cynical laugh there, and shrugs.]

I'm taking tactics as well... Actually this is my first official semester as I got here when everyone was still on vacation. I... I don't remember exactly what I picked as my major now that I think about it...

[Ronnae blushed and looked away embarrassed.]

You and me both. I was gonna double major...and that's about the only thing I have decided. Eh, it's not like we can't change our minds, I guess, right?

Ummm I... i was jus' walkin' around. Exploring and such. I haven't had much of a chance to see the Garden.

If you've seen one, you've kinda seen them all, but then again, I've been in a Garden since I was seven. I guess it's less impressive for me.

[Zak shrugs at that.] Though I like it a lot better at Balamb.

[Ronnae's eyes widen in surprise] So you've been in a Garden almost all your life? What was it like? I thought... I thought most people lived in cities, like that one we visited when we had that school trip to the palace.

Well, I used to live in Dollet. But my parents were killed during the siege, and when I got taken out to be delivered to an orphanage, I got caught in Time Compression. About ten years' worth, so I got sent to the Garden in Galbadia instead.

[He does not look happy about this, mind.] I sort of washed out there, got transferred here, and this is basically my last chance. Otherwise...I don't know what'll happen.

[Ronnae's expression drops suddenly. She looks sad and apologetic as she tries not to make eye contact.]
