[Ronnae had attended all her classes, done all her assignments and then some, studied ahead for material that would be coming in the next couple of weeks and finished all the extra credit homework she had asked for.... She had taken on this load so she'd keep busy and wouldn't have to leave her dorm room... Which had been unusually quiet to be honest.

Now however, with lack of things to do, she found herself braving the Garden on a little personal tour. She might as well explore as much as she could while the halls weren't packed with people. You would find her anywhere and everywhere as she made her way through the areas that looked emptier, exploring as much as she could.]

You have to take at least one intermediate anyway. Those sound like good choices. Me, my third quarter I'm gonna take all the intermediates, and my fourth quarter, all the advanced!

I'll figure out how I'll be taking my classes once I figure out things a bit better. But I think you have it all down to the last class huh?

It's the Commander's limit break. If you're a master at using a gunblade, you can hit a target a bunch of times before they can even think of responding!

[Ronnae looks up and thinks for a moment before turning back to the girl as they walk.]

So like the techniques rogues have then. That's a powerful move indeed...

[She's envisioning something entirely different, Ronnae, and it has her very confused.]

Yep, they're our agile fighters. Trained in the assassination arts, sneaking, infiltrating, stealth fighters. They're very deadly and can easily overcome anyone given the right conditions.

Oh, well. That's definitely not me. I'm as sneaky and subtle as an angry chocobo.

[Ronnae giggled and smiled fondly looking up in thought.]

One of my mothers was top of her group. She was feared as one of the most skilled assassin's in her trade.

[She looks back down at her curiously.]

What's a chocobo?

They're large riding birds. Very fast, very strong, very smart. They used to be used to pull wagons and things before cars and engines were invented.

[Finally, the classroom! She slips inside the door, holding it behind her.]

[She looks between the door, then the girl, then the classroom, blushing slightly.]

[She slips into the room hurriedly.]

[She's visibly growing more animated again as she moves across the room, grinning. So eager.]

[Ronnae looks around and fidgets a bit as she takes in the surroundings. It looked empty, and she hopes it stayed that way.]

[Maria doesn't have a crowd hiding behind a training dummy!]

Y-yeah, this is fine.

[Let's hope not!]

[Soon, Ronnae takes a deep breath and closes her eyes to steady herself. C'mon Ronnie, this is just another training session... Just do like you always do when you're alone... She wasn't alone of course, but she'd be fine.

She started slow, wide stretches, and a few warm up attacks to get things going. Soon enough she began moving, smoothly and with grace, her attacks where swift and almost as if she was dancing.

There were many acrobatic and flexibility moves involved, specially to train dodging and using momentum. But it was clear that the blows lack nothing in regards of power.

Each practice blow carried with it an amazing strength behind it accompanied by the technique and speed it was no wonder that she easily took on the creature with not missing a beat.]

[Against a humanoid opponent with weapons, Maria puts up a much better fight. Her weapons are balanced so that her blows tend not to have much weight behind them, only her own strength, and her parries involve deflecting more than blocking. On the other hand, her style resembles Ronnae's in a reliance on acrobatics and momentum. She's also amazingly aggressive -- a surprising number of her counters rely on whipping the blades around fast enough to make an opponent worry constantly about an attack from the blade they're not engaging, and she has a rather alarming habit of stepping into an attack to rob it of momentum and leverage.]

[If she'd been using her triggers, it might have been a closer contest.]

[The superior strength and skill she's facing decides the spar, though. It's not long before one too many hits lands her on her backside, one gunblade spinning across the floor.]

[Ronnae blushed and looked down after a quick bow. It hadn't come lightly as she had been trained heavily since she could. That along with being of a powerful race and participated on heavy wars made up for a lot of her strengths, but not all.]

T-thanks, you should see me in the wars. My superiors say that's where I really shine and let myself go all out.

I should be studying under you. How do you even move the weapons like that? It's so fast and yet so strong!
