valentine's day dance!
[Night has fallen on Balamb Garden; the halls of Garden are mostly deserted besides the stray student walking about, and even the usual faculty members are missing from their posts around the school. There's a certain festive energy through the air, the source coming from the Ballroom cheerily decorated located on the second floor.
At exactly 2100, as soon as the dinner rush ends, the Garden chime sounds and the intercom clicks on. The Headmaster speaks to the Garden.]
The Valentine's Day dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom.
I repeat, the Valentine's Day dance is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom. The dance will run until 2400. Students leaving the ball after curfew are to return to their dorms immediately.
The dance and its festivities tonight are being sponsored very generously by the Garden Festival Committee.
[After the announcement, the intercom falls silent. The faint sound of music can be heard from the second floor of the building.]
( Mod note: You may participate in the dance in comments to this post, or opt to make your own new post/log.
The dance isn't mandatory, so students that choose not to attend won't be punished. The Headmaster, Garden faculty and even some of the instructors are all present at the dance, so troublemakers are free to roam until 2400. The dance itself will last from 2100-2400 in the second floor ballroom and the music will be the same kind of upbeat peppy orchestrated pieces that the game used. Caterers will roam offering drinks and refreshments to attendants, as well a stationary stand for punch and food is offered.
Should players have any questions left unanswered feel free to ping the mods on AIM or via PM. )

[She smiles, clearly both amused and pleased by this.]
I'm sure. So how about that dance?
no subject
If it's short.
no subject
Yeah.. she wants an answer first before any dancing happens. Sorry.]

So that you can show them how much better of a dancer you are?
[She's teasing him, but it does seem like a very Seifer reason.]
no subject
...
...
She did not.]
I don't have a reason to dance. If I did, I'd show them. [... all that rage. she just. wtf man.]
no subject
[Keep making those sorceress jabs Seifer, she knows very well how you feel about Squall. The last several haven't gone forgotten, consider this her playful brand of payback.]
no subject
One dance. And I'm out.
no subject
Great, thanks! [She reaches out, taking his hand.] Let's go then.
[Maybe if she's lucky she can convince one dance to turn into two.]
no subject
Seifer offers her his hand with the intention of leading her to the floor.]
no subject
Placing her hand inn his, she let's him do the leading. For someone who's just been talking about how poorly other people are dancing, she's curious to see just how good at dancing he is (or isn't).]
blame finals ;-;
Awwe, bb I'd wait a couple days for you to comment anytime
Seifer, are you okay? You seem a little stiff.
[Not that it affects their dancing, but she's used to paying attention to the little things.]
no subject
Stiff? Hardly. You're asking me to dance.
no subject
[Maybe she'd gotten the wrong idea? Oops.]
Since I doubt it's my company that's bothering you.

[She smiles.]
That's a pity though, you're actually a pretty good dancer.
no subject
[Seifer takes that last comment in stride.] Isn't that a requisite anyway? Learning to dance as a SeeD? Stupid thing anyway.
no subject
Of course it is, but not everyone who passes the class is a good dancer. You can move really well. I wonder if it's all that extra gunblade training. Fighting can be kind of like dancing you know.
no subject
Who else have you been bothering besides me?
no subject
Hey! You probably bother me about as much as I bother you. Be fair!
[What? She's totally not avoiding the question.]
no subject
I wouldn't bother you if you weren't in my way all the time.
