Round Two | action, Quad
[It's late at night - close to curfew - and Tom's sitting on the grass in the Quad. Beer bottle in hand, he counts the stars before chugging down another sip or two. There's actually a lot of things wrong with this picture: for one thing? Tom's still on alcoholic probation. As in, he's not supposed to touch the stuff.
Yet he did. And he's currently on his second bottle. Crap.
Tom's not really one for talking - especially when he's in werekitty form - so he won't notice people right away. Still, it's a little hard to miss a 6' tall werepanther casually chugging beer like there's no tomorrow. He looks up at the sky again, double-checks the number of stars, and then... takes another sip.
So much for upholding his promises.]

... I haven't heard of them, but that's prolly 'cause we're from different worlds. [still, he's excited - it's been forever since he's met another superhero] Do the people on your "Avengers" have secret identities and costumes an' all?

[She huffs, but nods 'yes'.]
Some of them have their identities known publicly, and some of them don't. It's security and reason, after all.

... You are a superhero, right? Because uh. If you're not, this would just be the most awkward conversation I've had in ever.

[She holds out her free hand for him to shake.] Nice to meet you... [She stretches out the pause for him to fill in.]

... Also, be careful in disposing the bottle. Students aren't supposed to know that they're on campus. [Yeeeep, setting such a good example for the kids.]

[At the mention of the disposal of the bottle, Tandy looks to the bottler...then putting a dry oh-you-must-be-kidding-me glare on Tom.] Really. Well then. [She tips the bottle over into the plants...pouring out the alcohol.]

[Once the bottle is empty, she holds it back out to Tom, still frowning.] No more.

[Tandy sets down the bottle that Tom didn't take, and hops down. She casually walks over to him, face conveying concern.] I've seen it before...a lot. It's psychological most of the time... [She reaches out a hand...to Tom's chest.]
Maybe I can help...

[The light on her fingertips disappear.] Sorry. I've been doing this for so long, it just comes to me without much thought. [She feels embarassed.]

It kind of feels like it cheats me out of the process of doing it all by myself. [That, and he really doesn't like the look of those daggers.]

So don't stress about it too much. I'd just be careful about doing it here. The superhero hate was never bad in my world, but the hate for all superpowered people - regardless of the power - is pretty intense outside of Garden.

So then it's not different from home...

... Inside Garden, things're different. People accept us for who they are, since a lot of us come from different worlds and times. It's not as bad as people make it out to be.
