[Seriously? You have the balls to post an article on his history, but apparently not the balls to post the information correctly. Bet they didn't have the guts to say any of that to his face -- no one would, except Squall and Quistis. And perhaps Rinoa, but she was another thing entirely. Not like he could blame them though. Since then, he had plenty of time to reconsider his actions, who he was, all the decisions he had made at that time.

The news about Galbadia troubled him. Just a slight bit, but you could tell it's there. Last time war came about was with the Sorceresses-- Ultimecia. Right. Not bringing that up again. A moment of weakness he's not likely to forget, or relive this time around. If war did come, he knew where his allegiance would lie.

So he's in the Quad this time around, surprise surprise. Definitely not feeling better and considerably worse for the wear after he taunted several cadets for practice. Unfortunately for him, he didn't come out any better. Not like that would stop him or dig a bit of humility that he's clearly lacking.]

This place has been turning out just fantastic. Couple of arrogant cadets in over their heads trying to mess with me, the inability for people to get their facts straight --

These brats wouldn't know betrayal until it went up to Headmaster Cid and murdered him in front of them then sold Commander Squall into prison to be executed.

Even then I doubt how many would truly understand it.

Taking things far too lightly just demeans the concept.

I don't care if they take it lightly, just as long as they get the facts straight. Makes me less likely to even trust them in a future mission if everyone's going to jump to conclusions instead of keeping themselves levelheaded.

The Garden's quality is clearly declining at this pace.

Let me get one thing clear on the trust thing. You go on a mission and you fuck up. [Nevermind the fact that it's your fault-- your team didn't step in, didn't account for this. Who's at fault? You.] I don't care if they trust me outside of missions, it's when you go in to complete an objective and they fall behind. You can only carry the banner on your own for so long.

If they can't separate those, don't waste my time, your time, anyone else's time.

I've seen a lot more war and battles than most of the people here. Whatever the ages. Missions are what I do back home, and making sure lots of little idiots don't die on them is just part of my job as a Whitebeard Commander.

If you can't trust the classes to sort out who's responsible enough for graduation, create a team you can rely on. Otherwise, the rest just shows what people are made of, eh.

[Yeah, that's right. Commander Puberty Boy is out and about and this time he's in the Quad, what a coincidence! Actually Squall's only out in the Quad to get a bit of fresh air from being so cooped up in his office all day.

One might say he'd just gotten off the phone with his old man, the wonderful and oh-so charming Laguna Loire, having to listen to him talk on and on about how professional Quistis had been during her visit to Esthar, how she was this and that, yadda yadda yadda - you get the picture.

But as he spots Seifer sitting there and talking to himself, it kind of surprises him ... and yet doesn't.]

Yeah, it wouldn't exactly be a restful place to come and visit if people used it as a venting place all the time.

[Is she actually trying to offer up a peace treaty? That's what it sounds like, and that's what he's not pleased with. Maybe. Not exactly. This is why he hates people. A lot. Trying to start up a genuine conversation instead of staying out of his way. Just one fuck up after another and another.

But she's right. It's a chance for redemption, a chance to do more than just end up as a slave to a Sorceress, a chance for actual glory and heroics.]
