[ There were things Mukuro hadn't done in a long while. One, go to classes. Two, be enrolled in school. Three, be somewhere completely new where no one had any idea who he was. One of these three was definitely more thrilling than the other two.
While he had read the letter (hilarious), he hadn't even opened the course catalog. Instead he'd just tossed it behind him as he made his way through the lobby. Oops, he had dropped it and so forth. They were all very concerned about playing nice here, it seemed.
And that was definitely amusing. He really couldn't help laughing a little. What a stupid situation to find himself in again. ]

He GUESSED that from the number of red marks on a paper he's just received back. He had figured out around the third day that red marks were bad.
So he was feeling a bit despondent, and was halfway down the hall before he recognized a particular hairstyle up ahead.
And blinked. And looked at it again, and then suddenly pushed past other students to see if it could really no way it couldn't be how could it be--]
Mukuro??

He stopped walking, looked over his shoulder to confirm that yes, indeed, it was Luke. ... And then kept walking. ]

[Luke stumbled, a little taken aback by Mukuro just walking away. That probably... meant it wasn't his Mukuro. Just some other messed up guy, probably bent on killing a lot of people...
But he had to be sure. And even if it was a completely different one, Luke couldn't just leave him alone. That wasn't safe for anyone.]
Hang on! Mukuro!
[so he chased after him, grabbing him by the shoulder when he catches up]
no subject
Can I help you?
[ He asked, in Japanese. That was another annoying thing, language. Not that it was a huge inconvenience to him, but there was still something irritating about it. ]
no subject
Not that Mukuro would need to understand Luke's language or English to follow what he's saying. Because it really is just. Luke.
For his part, Luke definitely doesn't understand what Mukuro is saying. And he notices the other isn't wearing his translator either. Why did he have to make everything hard?]
H-Hang on!
[Since Mukuro was being a dick (typical!) and not slowing down, Luke keeps pace with him instead]
Jeez, it's not like you care about getting to class. Why aren't you wearing your translator?
no subject
I'm sorry, my English isn't so great yet. Could you repeat the question? Maybe slower?
no subject
[What had he just said? Something about his English being great. Or he thought that was what he said. He was a little too flustered from running to Mukuro to focus on translations very well.]
Look, I can't really understand you. But I'm Luke. [He points at himself, to make sure he is being completely clear] And we have to talk.
no subject
[ Mukuro had to laugh. It was hard not to. Luke was so very confused and not very good at this language thing, it seemed. ]
no subject
[Luke responds in english too, but does not manage to appear cheerful as he says it, indeed, he seems kind of disappointed. But it sounded... so familiar... he had to be sure]
Do you really not remember me?
no subject
[ Mukuro couldn't quite decide on how obnoxious he felt like being. He was mildly annoyed, yes, but also somewhat subdued. It would also be somewhat advantageous to know someone here. ]

Hey! You left this behind.

Sorry, it just slipped out of my hand. Thanks.
[ Mukuro didn't reach out to take the papers back, though. ]

You're . . . a bit dangerous looking.

... So. Need me to give you the speech?

Short version is, you're stuck here. The Time Compression brought you here randomly and it's gonna take you home randomly. Better people than you've tried to leave and they failed.
You can leave campus if you want, but I've no effing idea why you would. Room and board's free here. Class sucks sometimes, but it's usually worth it. Garden's the only place that'll take on off-worlders like us.

[ Might as well get that one out of the way. The other sort of thing he'd heard before, trapped, can't leave, so forth and so on. Really. ]

Hey! [He shouts after Mukuro just as the book falls to the floor, burning; he strides forward to then start stomping on it to put the minuscule fire out, scowling.
What kind of idiot just throws his crap at people like that? Great first impressions, too! Only not.]

I'm sorry, my hand slipped.
:3
Uh. Right.
