Ya Allah, I'd never thought those monsters'd get back where they belonged. You guys weren't actually half-bad in defeating them, but I guess that's also to be expected. We are a military school.

I never thought I'd be bored enough to ask, but what are you guys doing during the break? I wanna go into town and grab some hot chocolate, but it's too zidgit to go by myself. [AKA please go with me, I'm too socially awkward to say this outright.] That, or I guess I could practice with those knives Luki gave me.

You're not the only one. [No way is Robin gonna admit he's bad at it, so!] I've seen people struggle with it for hours. It's not a bad time-passer.

Just peppermint is good. I can't eat marshmallows. [His world didn't have marshmallows, but he's run into them here, and he doesn't like the sound of what's in them.]

[at that, he shakes his head] Mm, more like I can't eat pig meat. Or drink alcohol. It's a religious thing.

[He shrugs] Muslims consider pigs unclean, so we don't eat them. That's the only reason I know of.

Oh. I guess that makes sense. Kind of... [Not really, but it means less pigs being killed, so it's good enough for him.]

My religion doesn't think pigs're clean enough to eat. It's... kinda weird about what animals're clean and what aren't. Like, I can't keep dogs because "they aren't clean."

[He shrugs] I can eat every other kind of meat, though. It just so happens that pig fat's in a bunch of candy and marshmallows and... stuff.

Can't you wash them? Appa gets pretty dirty sometimes, but that just means he needs a bath.

It stinks that they need to use animals for candy, though.

[he shakes his head] Nope. They're just forever "unclean" because of how they eat their food. I don't get it, but I'll take any excuse to not eat it.

It's just how they make things. Like, pig fat's got some binding properties that makes candy easier to make. [Batman's training, it's showing.] Chemistry class'll talk more about it if you haven't gotten to it yet.
