[ It was quiet. The weather was nice. Azula curled up beneath a tree with her books in the Quad, taking advantage of the lack of others to catch up with schoolwork. She felt like she lacked excitement-- she didn't yet have cause to ruin the Avatar and his friends lives and she didn't feel like killing Zuko just yet.
Zuko.
She sighed as she flipped a page in her textbook. She didn't like that they had managed to get to Zuko. He liked to pretend that he was still on her side but she knew better, of course. She had lost her brother. And while trying to convince Sokka she wasn't all that bad either was a nice plan, she doubted she could ever truly play her part correctly and murder Aang. Though she couldn't exactly say she didn't enjoy the company of the boomerang boy-- something that made her cringe and miss home even more.
Lack of excitement.
She glanced up from her book out at the silent courtyard and flopped back in the grass, holding her book up, lazily reading the text. ]
Zuko.

Business as usual, eh.
I wouldn't dare deign to bother her royal highness with something frivolous after all. [It'd be sarcastic except it's so deadpan it's actually impossible to tell if he means it or not.]

I think we should have a meeting sometime this week to discuss the leadership position that still remains open and a few concerns I have regarding the club.

Are you reading for pleasure or are you reading for class?

[ She shut the book and turned her head to look Ryoji up and down before pulling herself up into a sitting position. ]

[And Ryoji just sits himself down next to her, not in the least bit worried or turned off.]

And you are talking to me because... ?

I PROMISE I WILL UPKEEP THIS THREAD. >.> I SWEAR IT. <3
Okay, it's a little warm but hey, Sokka has ice in his blood! He's just a cool guy, and...
Get it? COOL GUY?]
Man, I crack myself up. You appreciate my humor, don't you Mr Stuffypants? I know. I know you do. Iknowyouapprectiatemy--
[Sokka stops mid-coo to the kitten on his shoulder as he catches sight of the movement of red across the Quad. Azula. Holding a finger to his lips to motion the kitten to quietness, Sokka takes cover behind a bench. He NEEDS to get to the other side of the Quad... but she's right in the middle!
Breathe. He can do this. Master of the Sneak Attack.
Only without so much of the attacking because man, burning hair smells really, really terrible and he'd like to not be Sok-ka-que.
GET IT??
Ahem.
Bench to bush! Complete! Bush to tree. Tree to... little weird fountain statue-thingy! Okay. Close now. Quiet. He scuttles out from behind the statue and absolutely makes it to a potted plant. Phew. And--]
YOU BETTER D':
Of course she knew the answer to that automatically, but sometimes the things Sokka did seemed to just make her wonder in disbelief how many times he had been dropped as a child. He should know better than anyone that she'd be aware of almost anything going on in the Quad, despite appearing to be concerned with her book.
She had heard him talk to himself immediately, her eyes barely peeking over the top of the book to glance over at him and watch him hide behind the bench.
Then the bush.
Then the tree. And the fountain. And the plant? Oooh, Sokka. ]
It's cute, what you're doing. Of course, I noticed you long before you even hid behind the bench.
[ She slammed the book shut, eyes wondering over his form. ]
What is that?
*grovels*
[Clearing his throat he starts... petting the plant. Yup. He's just a guy, petting a plant. Not hiding from a girl, pffffft where'd she come up with that crazy idea?] Don't know what you're talking about.
[Sokka straightens his uniform (... HEY ITS HARD WASHING THE ONE OUTFIT HE SHOWED UP IN EVERY NIGHT IN THE SINK YOU TRY IT THESE STUPID SINKS HERE ARE REALLY TINY but don't get him wrong, he does appreciate the running water. Better than having a bender around. WAY BETTER since he can keep from getting drenched.) and steps out from behind the plant with one last pet of frond.] What is what? [He looks around.] Do I have something on my face?

[ Why did she even bother talking to him again? While it started out as amusement moments like these made it torture. She gathered her books together and stacked them up before returning her attention to Sokka. ]
Or are you going to try to pretend I never actually saw it, too?
NOTIF FAIL ADVISORY
He wishes the sun would stop making deep red highlights in her dark hair. Sokka definitely blames Marco for him noticing stuff like that. Grell too.] Mr Stuffypants. [Said Mr Stuffypants is pried off Sokka's shoulder with a mewl as he walks forward and he hands the ball of fluffs out...
Only to snatch him away.] You can't roast him. Really. It's a kitten. It's alive and has feelings, Azula, and I know you don't care but just...
Just don't roast him, okay?

She didn't notice Azula as she passed by the tree the Firebender had situated herself under, oblivious to those who populated the outdoor area as she made her way to her destination.]

What a nice little garden.

It's for my Home Economics class. [She's sure that Azula doesn't care, but Katara has no interest in entertaining the princess.]
