Water from the sky! [Super OPEN!]
[The day is like any other in Garden. The birds were chirping. Students milling about to their classes and activities. Blue skies. Water balloons dropping from the air. A few distressed screams here and there.
...well, maybe not your everyday scene this day.
The duo of Marco and Grell were soaring high above the Garden at the moment, Marco in his Phoenix form, and Grell in a blue dress and matching blue scarf (to cover up that red hair of his!) in order to blend in with the sky better.
But, the balloons were all red. Ah well.]
We should have done this a long time ago!
[GLEEFULLY DROPS A FEW MORE]
[Why were they doing this? Because they can.And to test out how well they could be near invisible?]

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!
[BZZZZZZZZZZ
The scythe indeed cut through the silly little weapon, as it was created to do. To cut through ANYTHING. He watches in glee as it fell, floating down to the ground in two.
...did someone call his name?]
Did you hear that, honey? [Kinda hard to hear up here, you know.]
Poor Sokka ;;
Chirp chirp croo KREE!
[Which was the most Marco could explain before flying off to the side to give Grell a chance to dismount and nodded his head over to Sokka. Poor baby bro.]

They hit the flagstones with dual clangs and lay still.
Boomerang. BOOMERANG. No... no--
Sokka runs toward the broken weapon, leaving his books and everything behind. Each piece is scooped up. Right down what once was the middle of the boomerang is chewed metal where Grell's scythe cut it into two. He doesn't notice the landing party.
He doesn't really care.
Boomerang.]

Hey! I'm not done! [He sees Marco go over to Sokka, who seems to be heartbroken over something.
What was that thing? Looked familiar.]

Don't worry mate, it's a clean break, it can probably be repaired no problem. Being a little rough on it?
no subject
[And then his eyebrows crawl together and he looks at Marco.] Being rough on it? BEING ROUGH ON IT?? SHE CUT IT IN HALF WITH HER STUPID CHAINSAW!!! [Yes, this is an accusatory finger being pointed in Grell's direction.]

[Carefully stands between the two of them and picks up the pieces.] It's all right. [Super somber tone.] I'll get it fixed.
no subject
[He glares at Grell.] YOU WERE DROPPING WATER BOMBS ON ME. YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO CHAINSAW IT, MARCO COULD HAVE JUST MOVED. [Aww, even angry, there are definitely tears in his eyes.] You're just... you're just--
[Okay, yeah. Sokka knows he maybe shouldn't have thrown it, but COME ON. A CHAINSAW.] You're really terrible, Grell.
[Cue stomping away.]
no subject
[You're yelling is futile. Grell does it better.]
Is that so? [He can't help but grin at that. At least his reputation isn't tarnished.] Your angry face is just too cute! How red it gets.
[Waves after him cheerfully.]

So loud. [Runs a hand through his hair, trying to get it to behave.] I ran out of water balloons... [SIGHS] Guess I'll have to find some other form of entertainment.
[Leers at Marco.]
no subject
Oi. I didn't slice it, so let met fix it, all right? That's what friends do for each other.
no subject
[Frowns and watches Marco follow Sokka, offended. With a 'hmph' he flicks out of sight, not at all pleased about being ignored for some cry baby.]

You know, I didn't get what Ace told me about pirates. Because I don't think you're a bad person, Marco, and you're a pirate. But if pirates can date a girl like Grell, then... then...
Maybe pirates are bad.
[This is not making him feel better.]

Don't insult Grell. You don't know everything's she's been through to make her the way she is. She isn't good at empathy and she's impulsive. That doesn't make her any less lovable. Of all the things my Pops taught me, the most important one was that everyone needs someone to look out for them. To humor them and stay their ally especially when things are bleakest. And from everything I can tell, Grell has never once in her life had that. You're lucky to have a dozen or so.
Please, Sokka, let me get the boomerang fixed. She didn't want to hurt you and she doesn't get how much it means to you, but I do.

Sokka hangs his head. He understands what Marco's saying, and he has been lucky to have all the good people in his life. Wet hair is pushed out of his eyes with a sigh and he looks up, because he'll meet Marco's eyes to apologize.] I'm sorry. She just--
[He stops himself with a shake of his head. He takes the weapon sling off, sliding it over his head, and hands it to Marco.] Do you really think it can even be fixed?
no subject
[Not really a cinch, they take a lot of detail and hard work, but Marco is good at that.]
And don't judge people on their friends or who they're related to. Just because you have a problem with person from a crew, doesn't mean the whole crew is a waste, eh. I'm sure not everyone gets along with Toph well either, eh.
[Picks up the boomerang, exuding blue flames off an arm.] I'll have it fixed good as new.
no subject
Thanks, Marco.
no subject
Here, I'm going to get it fixed, you'll be okay here?
no subject
Uh. I think you'll probably have to find out if they have a forge or something... it might take a while.

no subject
Hey, I... didn't mean what I said about pirates.
no subject
It's all right Sokka. Like I said, it'd be like judging everyone who traveled in Toph's company based solely on her. People can be abrasive with still good qualities, just hidden deep down, eh.
