Just like always. [It's a phrase that has been getting her through the entire week. And it's close to the truth. The jell-o (or she thinks it's jell-o) quivers and slips off her fork just the same. The same weird be-speckled tile lines the floor of the cafeteria. The same hard, vaguely uncomfortable chairs. Even the textbooks piled on the table look about what she'd expect from the schools she'd been looking at prior to... ending up here. Expect for the parts where there's Para-Magic involved.

Jell-O's still watered down, though.

[Slouching back in her chair, Willow picks at the corner of one of the books before turning her attention back to the wriggling, vibrant green cube accompanying a largely average dinner. Sh kicks the empty chair across from her.]

I grew up in the kingdom of Wyndia, in a forest near the McNeil village. Even the castle was smaller than this place.

There was a castle? [Her elbows propped on the table now, she leans a little forward.] And this was in Wyndia? How big of a kingdom is Wyndia? Did you travel much. [And much as she knows she should stop, she presses on.] Are there knights?

The region the kingdom rules over is huge. The Castle had knights, but they didn't have much to do with me. I'm a drifter, so I saw a lot of places.

I guess they don't have this stuff where you come from? [He had to admit, he was a little amused. She earned a grin out of him.]

No. [She shakes her head.] I'm a city girl. Most adventure I've seen is getting lost on the subway. ...Which is kind of a scary adventure, to tell the truth.

Uhm. It's a... Like an underground train. [They didn't have trains in the days of yore, Wills. Idiot.] This line of like... carriages stuck together. They run on an underground track.
