Week III, DAN 101, M/W/F; 0800]

[It was the third week. On and off since his stupidity in trying to attack a T-Rexaur a few weeks back, Zuko had been attending classes regularly. Some days he wasn't around much in class, using those days to get some extra rest or spend some time with Dr. Kadowaki. While other days he attended the full hour and a half. Today was going to be no different.

He was seated off to the side and leaning back against the wall on one of the benches aligning it, his right arm still bound snugly in the sling to his chest. Next to him sat some light-weight notebooks for his other morning classes.

Zuko would glance at the door every once and a while as if looking for someone and when he wasn't, he was ignoring the looks sent his way from the other cadets. The pitying looks. He'd had enough of those in his day.]

Hey, I dunno. I thought you were the one so intent on his full recovery. You guys certainly seemed friendly enough the other day... then again, Zuko wasn't talking much. [He rubs his head.] I guess he's always a little easier to like when he's not talking.

I was only being nice to him that day because I felt a little bad about the whole thing. And besides, since I'm going to be a Battlefield Medicine specialist, I'll have to heal even the people I don't like. [Which Zuko certainly qualifies as.]

You felt bad? Wasn't your fault that he was a lizard-snack. OH HEY speaking of--I think I'm gonna go for piloting! [Yes, he's making a muscle.] Whadda'ya think? I think I'd be pretty awesome at it.

[THANKFULLY Sokka changes the subject before she has a chance too-- she has a feeling he wouldn't be too happy with her if he found out she basically was the reason Zuko was nearly T-Rexuar lunch. But she fakes a scrutinizing look, eyes narrowed and a finger tapping her chin.] Piloting? Well...

[And she grins.] I think it's perfect for you-- it looks like really complicated stuff, and somehow in that head of yours you're brilliant.
