Twisting the chair to face the window, the President of Esthar balances the phone between his jaw and shoulder while it rings, scrambling around for some particular documents.

I've been a big bogged down dealing with the matters in Garden, so there may be some things I've missed lately. What has been going on?

The likelihood of the Gardens going to war is pretty high up.

I'm trying my hardest to stop that from happening - it's the last thing we need right now.

[Laguna drags a hand down his face.]

This Time Compression isn't helping anyone; it almost scares me to think that Ultimecia is really back. That history's repeatin' itself.

Time Compression still remains a mystery; from the last reports we've received from Dr. Odine, there hasn't been much progress in research. But perhaps we shouldn't be so surprised by Ultimecia's possible presence in our time now; with the arrivals of all these people from different worlds and dimensions and time, it's entirely possible that she has washed up along with them. She is the one who initiated it, after all, and I have no doubts that she will take any measure possible to stay alive.

[He gives a sigh.]

We must be alert and keep an eye out for her, try to contain her before news of her presence breaks out.
