[Marco is amusedly watching a red ball of yarn roll across the lawn. This alone wouldn't be so interesting, but the reason it keeps rolling is a certain red-haired shinigami attempting to catch it, and whenever Grell gets close enough to actually catch the ball, Marco discreetly tugs a thin wire jerking it off and away. Of course, he looks completely deadpan about it, but every so often he just chuckles evilly to himself and makes it look like it's about the Hide-and-Go-Seek games planned.

To which, there is a list of various prizes for the games in his lap.]

I wonder if it'd be a problem for a member of the Disciplinary Committee to offer up rum as a prize. Is there even a drinking age around here? Does it matter? [Clearly Marco is great at keeping people out of trouble.]

Just period. If he was a potential kid to be in my crew, I'd try to get him in my division. Even though he doesn't want to be a fighter, he's got a lot of potential for backup and support and that's even more important. It's unfortunate he's so troubled though. Kind of makes me want to go to his world just to kick some asses there, eh?

[Nods in understanding now, well versed in Marco's background.] Toby seems to have a lot of things he needs to sort out, but with us around, it'll be easier. Definitely have to work on his color scheme and eating manners. [Hums in thought.]

Sounds about right. [Reaches his arms back to rest on the back of his neck and then changes his mind and rests one around Grell's shoulders.]

Reminds me why I like kids at all haha.

[Grins at the arm and plays with Marco's fingers.] I've always wanted to be a mother. Toby is certainly bringing out my maternal instincts. [SIGHS] Why must I be cursed with such a barren body?

[Leans over and kisses Grell's cheek.]

You could adopt him, eh.

[Blinks once.]

...adopt him? [He hadn't thought of going to that length. Takes on a thoughtful look.] You think so?

Maybe. Pops is pretty instant about it when he makes up his mind, me, I guess I move a little slower. When things click though, they just do, eh?

[Looks up to Marco with a raised eyebrow.] This seems to have been on your mind for a while, since you brought it up.

Not exactly. Just from when I mentioned it to you before about wanting kids.

But being a single mother is not my cup of tea.

[Picks up Grell's hand and kisses the fingers all over.] Mm. I'll definitely keep that in mind, eh.

[Smiles and strokes Marco's cheek.] I do wonder how you are with children.

I'd like to think I'm great at it. But probably only once they get out of diapers and start being little kids though. I always wanted kids. But I guess adopting them.

[And protecting eggs, but that's a different story.]

[Yes, the whole mess of caring for anything that couldn't feed themselves was a nightmare! Grell makes a very DO NOT WANT face.]

Heh, I guess I'm more used to teenagers, eh? But I can't imagine not wanting kids. Instincts.

[Nods softly.] One day. [Grins all of a sudden.] There is the perfect person to experiment on, though, right? [Plays with pineapplely hair.]

Yeah, I think so. He seems sort of the fine line between fragile and strong. So I guess so long as he's getting stronger and more stable you know you're doing well, eh.
