This isn't working.

Escalating tension between Esthar and Galbadia; between the natives of this world and us "off-worlders"; even some of the off-worlders are starting conflict amongst themselves. It's like we're all in some sort of panic. Speaking of which, the unexplained disappearances of some of the cadets - Where did they go? Are we returning or not? [ Yes, she's referring to the disappearance of her sister. ]

Furthermore, what was with that whole month when all of us were experiencing those nightmares? That can't have been some random occurrence.

Some of this is just ridiculous.

I don't think it's reached the stage of "panic," but the tension is definitely obvious.

As for where the cadets disappear to, this off-worlder went home and came back. So I'd say at least some go back home, but not necessarily stay there.

The rising tensions, while expected, are hardly a state of panic, and while I understand that some off-worlders native to the same world would continue old feuds here, hopefully they will in time learn to put aside old differences.

I have heard that the nightmares had a common source, though so far it appears to be mere conjecture.

That can't be just it. We all went through hell that month. I can only suspect one thing.

Most likely, the more openly disruptive elements will be dealt with, either by the SeeDs and Faculty, or by the other off-worlders. If conflicts among off-worlders are allowed to fester, the in-fighting risks extending to all of them.

What, then, would be the intent behind them? Demoralization, or perhaps measuring our mental strength? As the nightmares became gradually less frequent, I doubt the intention was to leave them on permanently, or that someone brought them to a halt.

Maybe it was a test of some sort. I've tried researching about it myself, and there aren't any records of something like this happening before we arrived.

I've yet to notice this conflict amongst ourselves, along with the state of panic. Some of us think there should be some sort of program that allows some natives to visit the Garden and see that we are not trying to start trouble. (At least not all of us.)

As for the nightmares, I haven't thought much of them, as I'd like not to.

Even if they did start such a program, I doubt it'd make this seemingly deep and inherent fear of these "sorceresses" the natives claim the Garden to keep.

What if something like that happens again? Without warning once more?

Since they believe the Time Compression to be the work of a sorceress, it's likely they assume the nightmares were part of it. An attempt to weaken us so to speak. Escalating tensions would likewise be a by-product of it. No one knows who or where the sorceress is that caused all this, so it breeds a lot of paranoia and suspicion. If she's powerful enough to cause that much, it stands to reason she's powerful enough to disguise herself and so people let fears get away with them.

Best thing you can do is not sink to that level.
