[Sitting in the cafeteria, Rinoa's currently pouring over all the new course offerings as she tried to figure out once again just what her current plans for the future were.Ultimately it was a pretty big decision after all and she didn't want to rush into it like she tended to do with some things.

Rubbing at the tiny frown lines on her forehead, she sighed and turned to her attention to the apple she was eating. What she wasn't admitting to herself was the fact that she was just using the classes as an excuse to put off what was currently eating at her the most. Which of course was talking to Squall about the latest newsletter, but after last time she was actually a little reluctant to bring up that column again. Not that it was going to stop her in the long run or anything like that, but it did a great job in stalling her up temporarily.

So if anyone wanted to stop by and maybe: eat their meals together, talk about classes, or anything like that she would totally be up for the company.]

Oh, I'm not. There's twenty years of time travel involved.

No reason to think you're not capable is there?

[Okay, what? Everything else is temporarily forgotten in hearing those two words.]

Well you were pulled here from a different world right? My friends and I were pulled here from twenty years in the past. So we're technically from this world, we're just in our own futures somehow.

It's kind of confusing even for us, because nothing really seems to have changed much in those twenty years.

That's... [And here, Ryoji can't help but give a little chuckle and smile] That's pretty cool. I can tell people I know a time traveler now.

It must be nice, to know that some things don't change.

That's one way to look at it I guess. Though it's not much different from me saying that I know people from a wholly different world, is it?

[She smiles briefly and then shakes her head.]

Not really, it's actually pretty alarming. I would have expected things to be quite a bit different now than they were twenty years ago.

So we both have something to brag about, don't we?

[Ryoji hums a little before getting a slightly faraway look on his face.]

I suppose it says something about humanity in that it never changes from its desire for constant strife and struggle.

I don't think it's that big of a thing to brag about here anymore. There's a bunch of people from different worlds here now after all.

[She notices the strange look on his face and, naturally, is quite curious about what caused it.]

It sounds like you've got some experience with that sort of thing?

[She sighs regardless.]

I wish we didn't have to fight.

I still think it's impressive, even if it is common here in Garden.

[Ryoji blinks at her for a moment before giving Rinoa a honestly confused look.]

Why would you think I had experience with something like that?

I guess it kind of depends on the person then. So in this case, it can be impressive I think.

[Was it that odd of a thing to say? Rinoa wasn't sure.]

You had this weird look on your face, so I thought maybe it was something you'd had to learn the hard way. That's all.

[Ryoji makes a kind of frown/thinking face as he tries to recall the reason why he'd said what he did.]

No, there's nothing that I can remember...

Oh. Well nevermind then, I must have just been seeing things.

It's all right. If I did make a weird face, then maybe it was in response to something I just can't remember right now. It might come to me later on.
