[Along the Dollet Beach students from the academy seem to have set up a small little beach party. There are blankets, coolers, Grell in a bikini, and even Marco is just hanging out in his beach shorts (although you won't ever see him go in the water.) There's even a beach volleyball area set up. Purely for the viewing pleasure of the guys watching. Seeing the scene you would never expect lots of violence that was about to befall.]

Me? Never. [Perfectly deadpan face.] Why would I be jealous of some random stranger rubbing down the cute red-head I like? That's just ridiculous.

[Giggles softly, tickling under his scruffy chin. Men were always in denial about women being right.]

[Tickles under chin and puts a small glob of suntan lotion on Grell's nose.]

Because lies can be ever so fun when done right. [Carefully tosses the jewelery box with this inside into Grell's lap to make it seem like it came from out of nowhere.]

[Crinkles nose and wipes it off carefully, smearing it onto Marco's forehead in retaliation.]

Lies have their own time and place. Besides, the truth can be more fun too.

[Shifts in his sitting position and notices something new in his lap and looks down, seeing a black, cube jewelry box. He picks it up, looking to Marco suspiciously before opening it.

Green eyes widened at the beautiful ring inside, his mouth opening in surprise. It was...very unexpected. Looks to Marco again, speaking with a soft voice.]

...is this for me?

[Rubs it into his forehead with the top of his hand and pauses... He was planning to be silly and snarky, but damn it, that was just too cute.]

It does seem that way, eh?

[Smiles and looks down at the ring, running his finger over the heart.] I would ask why, but I know better. But~! For the sake of curiosity... [Looks up to Marco, truly interested in the answer.]

Now, Grell isn't the type to question things like getting gifts, but a ring was quite serious in his books. And with his feelings for Mr. Pineapple Hair being so serious, he was wondering if accepting it was right. Weird...

He looked to Marco with a wry smile.]

Didn't say I was, eh? I just saw it and wanted you to have it. [Hands up disarmingly.]

[That wry smile is still there. Grell nods softly, looking to the ring.]

I'll accept it, because it's from you, but I won't wear it...

[He looks kind of dejected now.]

I'd wear it proudly if we were dating, but..it just seems wrong to wear it otherwise. How can a girl wear something so precious from just a friend? I... [Shakes his head softly.] It wouldn't be right to wear it.

[Grins, despite how bad he was feeling inside.] 'I shouldn't have to feel this way, right? Is it because I like him? Bloody emotions.'


I have too many stipulations, don't I? [It was what he was telling himself, making himself believe.] But what I said earlier is still true: I like you, and I'll wait until you're mine to wear this.

[Grins evilly.] So you'd rather I was yours, eh?

I don't think I'd have much to object to that. [Tickles under Grell's chin.] But then I reserve the right to punch anyone who thinks they can rub lotion on you instead of me doing so.

[This smile was more genuine, but Grell's a good actress. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference.]

Only mine, so that means I get to chop up anyone hitting on you~.

[Tickles under chin and croons almost dangerously quietly in Grell's ear.] Which means you better wear it.

[Shivers from the possessive words, looking to him with a smirk.] Do the honors? [Hands Marco the box, which was still open, and offering his right hand.]

[Grins and happily puts it on Grell's ring finger and pecks her cheek with a small kiss.]

There. And if anyone says you're not a lady, you better correct them and explain you're my lady.

[The ring did have a lovely sparkle to it upon his finger, and it was the right size too! Grell's cheeks hued to a light red color at the statement before grinning, throwing his arms around Marco's neck tightly.]

[Grins even more and hugs around waist.]
