Docked in Dollet - OPEN to everyone in Garden

[At 0900 hours, the announcement bell chimes and once again a voice much more youthful than the Headmaster's begins to speak.]

Good morning, inhabitants of Balamb Garden! This is your pilot Nida speaking. Now that we're docked in Dollet, it's time to get our vacation on! That's right - everyone's free to leave Garden and stretch their legs. Hyne knows I will! [He sounds so eager and can't help but give a little laugh.]

Please remember to stay safe while exploring and don't go getting into too much trouble! Oh! I forgot - curfew. I know I know. Not something you want to hear, s-sorry! Anyways. About that curfew. Good news! All cadets are given an extra half-hour in which they must return to Garden for the remainder of the night. Instead of having to check in at 2300 hours, curfew for this week is 2330 hours.

Don't worry though. We'll be here all week! Plenty of time to sight see and whatever else you want to get done.

[Mod note: Here's the kick off to the week of vacation for the cadets! For those who are unfamiliar with Dollet, information about the city can be found here. Students are free to roam around the city or keep within Garden if they so desire. The second term will start August 1st-- until then, it's vacation time!

[Well. The mistaking of his words only causes Quistis to flush a bit deeper-- has she really had that much? She averts her gaze while trying to appear dignified.] Like I said, I'm fine.

[And a sip of her untouched beer for emphasis.]

She gives Quistis a sage nod. Xu knew what she was talking about.]

[Squall watches her sipping her beer and sighs, rolling his eyes. No other choice. He sits back down, bringing up a leg to cross over the other with his ankle rested at his knee.]

[At the back of his mind Squall wonders who's turn it was to buy rounds. He says nothing about it, though, and hopes they'll keep him out of their little pissing/drinking challenge.]

[Without another word, Quistis finishes off the mug of beer, not even pausing for a breath.]

[A part of him feels bad for his former instructor. Squall can't stand beer. Even if he had chugged it back earlier just to humor them. He leans back in his chair and glances over at the bartender before looking back at the girls.]

We're not done. [And she looked over to Squall now, giving him a pointed look.]

[Oh yeah, it was his turn to buy drinks. Though Xu was really hoping he wouldn't bring back any more gin.

She didn't want to burn the rest of her internal organs tonight, really.]

... This is the last round you're getting, understood? [And he pushes himself out of the chair, frowning to himself, to go to the bar and look at the selection of bottles along the back wall.]

[She waits until Squall is gone, and then leans on the table, facing Quistis.] So what's this about him carrying you back to your room?

[She frowns.]

Nothing happened, if that's what you're thinking. I just twisted my ankle trying to get to my room, so he helped me.

[Xu frowned. Her friend was such a party pooper sometimes.] And here I was thinking it was more with how defensive he got over it...
