[action] [backdated to after the battle, when the Garden's being repaired]
[Espio is rather fond of Fisherman's Horizon. It's the solar panels - they're great spots for just lying there and basking in the sunshine. Espio not-so-secretly loves soaking up sun when he gets the chance. And after all that business, he had every reason to go lie in the sun after getting out of classes.
Right now, though, that's not what he's doing. Nope.
He's spent the evening wandering around in human shape for a bit - it's actually a bit too warm this evening. Turns out that the human body's ability to regulate it's temperature a bit better comes in handy, plus it avoids the staring he gets despite people kind of knowing him by this point. Right now, he's just hanging out by the docks, feet in the water, pink Chaos Emerald at his side, writing something in a notebook. To anyone not familiar with him and his other form, he's recognisable only really by his hat... but he's okay with that - he kind of hopes it means less people will decide to bug him.
Because apparently, people like to bug him.
Ah well.]
[ooc: feel free to intercept him anywhere around FH, but mostly he's just at the docks.]

And hey! Look! Company! Sober company but--what the hell. He flops beside the kid, nearly pitching into the water himself. Kinna familiar headgear but, eh]
Helluva fight, huh? We sure showed 'em.

[...oh, it was this guy again. Thatch... right? One of Marco's brothers. No... one of his - somehow - brothers. The downside of letting a pirate abduct you into their family was that you had no idea who else was involved.
And he was drunk - he could smell it. Joy.
Better keep his attention on his writing for the moment. He didn't really want to get talking to this Thatch guy when he was like this - the man didn't even have the decency to bring him a drink! Not that he couldn't afford his own, but it would have been nice.]
Don't fall in the water, okay?
no subject
[he takes another sip. He can feel the burn down to his toes]
Whatchu workin on anyway, short stash...stack.
no subject
[Sigh.]
So much for a quiet evening. Didn't exactly expect one, anyway.
no subject
Oh, 'scuse me for invadin your santicity. Mebbe I'll go find another patch' of dock, asshole.
[he starts to stand but something slips under his foot and he crashes back down again his ass, saving his bottle at the last minute.]
Shit...that was close.
no subject
[Ohhh dear.]
I'm not completely antisocial. Just scoot your ass over here and stay put before you hurt yourself.

Chirp!
[That means hello. Maybe. Or what are you doing, possibly.]
no subject
Espio sighs, puts his book down...
Then just grabs him and pulls him onto his lap, despite the fact Marco is not a small phoenix at all.]
no subject
[That was accurate.]
[And now you have a blushing phoenix in your lap. Congrats.]
[Now give him pets because he is lathering you in phoenix affection either way.]
no subject
So, did you want something?

[Sorta rubs his head.]
Nothing's going on, huh? It's nice.
no subject
[And nods.]
[He's glad Espio's less depressed now too.]
[So he gestures a foot at the notebook and chirps again.]

He is probably the happiest person in the entire world by the time his head pops up above the waves a little ways out from the docks. People tended to freak out when he just showed up out of the deep, so he's learned to give them some warning that he's coming in. It's also a good opportunity to see if there's anyone he knows hanging around, or anyone at all. There's someone with their feet in the water over there. Namur turns and slips under, leaving his dorsal poking just above the surface for a few minutes. Then it, too, slips under as he folds himself down then arches up to break the surface head-first, hair wet and slicked back over his neck.]
Nice day fer fishin', ain't it?
no subject
I suppose it is.
[Half heartedly kicks at the water, splashing it over in his direction.]
Not that fishing's ever something I've gotten into, really.
no subject
Not a local, huh? Think I smelled y' before. What's yer name?
no subject
So by scent, yeah, guess you would have!
no subject
Weren't y' a... uh... [Shit, land animal thing. Think Namur! Scaly but not a snake is called a...] lizard? Can y' still go invisible when yer a human? That is a thing y' can do, right? I wasn't jus' havin' a weirdass dream 'r somethin'?

She swims up to the surface and breaks through the water, enjoying the feel of water in her gills. ]
Ha! It's been so long since I've been in real water!
