[Nate hasn't seen the BBS post - not too many computers on the Latin American streets in the early to mid 90's, so he hasn't tried to figure out his laptop yet - he's just wandering the school, familiarizing himself, munching on candy hearts, and keeping an eye out for anything interesting.

[He comes in closer for a look, far more interested in the weapon than the man.] Is that a pistol sword?

[He's just raising an eyebrow at you kid, because who doesn't know what a-- right. Offworlder.]

[Nate nods, pulling out a journal and pencil and starting to sketch it.] I did think the blade was too wide.

[He glances up at Seifer, realizing something:] Must be heavy.

It also doesn't fire bullets.

[He shifted, frowning for a moment as the kid started drawing.]

Not anymore, but I've been using one for longer than you've been alive.

There are more than a few different models though, and this one's not exactly standard by any means.

[It wasn't Hyperion, he didn't generally wield her unless he needed to. He'd put the best of twenty years of work in to it and while it didn't exactly glow there was a definite shimmer in there at times.]

[Espio hasn't seen the post, and doesn't even use any weapons anyway. He just happens to hang out in the Quad fairly often when he spots someone vaguely-sorta-semi-familiar, with weapons.

Seifer is just going to give her a very judging look with raised eyebrows and unimpressedness as he walks over.

He's going to pick up that gunblade case and if you faint you will totally lose more points... and probably get him in trouble.]

I know you said you specialised in gunblades, but I was wondering if you were able to upgrade gauntlets too. I think they're considered armour here, but I use them as weapons.

They count as weapons if you use them in hand to hand combat. I may be able to, depending on what you're looking to accomplish with the upgrade.

I don't really know. At home, we dualized weapons, and depending on what we dualized them with they'd get whole new qualities and effects. For example, some shards could restore your health as you fought with them, and others could improve your reaction time. Does it work like that here?

You need to get the Disciplinary Committee in shape. No one is running it these days. Unsurprising in this place.

[There's a considerably younger version of a girl Seifer will definitely recognize entering the quad with one very beat up nunchaku in her grip. She's not in her usual dress-code as anyone will notice from the baggy sweatpants, flip flops and striped tank-top she's sporting.

She'd heard a bit about St. James Arms from other SeeD and the exceptional work that they've done on repairs on all kinds of weapons. Her poor Nunchaku got a lot of abuse during the last break and happens to need some major repair work done. If it can't be done though, she is willing to dish out the gil to get a custom job done.

However, after she's placed her broken weapon (it's chain is toast and there's burn and teeth marks on the chuks) she'll look at Seifer curiously, studying him closely. She's not entirely certain what's going on but considering that she's still getting used to flying ponies and talking chameleons, she's feeling a little bit tense.

Besides, what better way is there to greet someone than stating the obvious.]

[Selphie's a better first person to see (other than Cid) than Squall at any rate, but there's a tension that pulls across his shoulders as watches him. Even though he's not watching her back, not even looking at her for that matter, he knows she's probably expecting something.]

Yeah.

[He's definitely on the defensive, and focusing far more on the weapon than her.

Twenty years really wasn't enough time and that she's so young- probably displaced through Time Compression- that it probably doesn't matter how long it's been for him to her.]

[Maybe things are different now, Selphie's thinking as her head cocks to the left to continue looking at him. Twenty-two years is a long time and people can change over time.

Maybe he's worthy of a second chance? With a guarded smile, Selphie raises her right hand and lets it rest on the broken weapon. She wants to see for herself as she that guarded smile turns as sweet as sugar. She's about to be a total brat but she's gotta see how much he's changed.]
