Sometimes I do forget that someone, somewhere in this charming and lovely universe went and broke time for the rest of us. Not exactly the reminder I could have used, really - temporal displacement, well, that's not really something I do. Well, okay, it is... quite a lot, actually. Actually, forget I said that entirely, but what I mean is...

Just your friendly librarian, doing a bit of unplanned and completely unintentional time hopping courtesy of compression, nothing to worry about.

Now, since I've just been and got my job back - you know, good old librarian job, with all the books and paper and books and things... would you mind telling me why we're on the Esthar continent all of a sudden?

Well, me, I'm not really much of a fighter, me. Make a bit of a habit of travelling the world with just a box and a screwdriver, and never really got into the whole military thing.

[Not that he's ever managed to actually get out of wars and whatnot...]

Still, pretty sure I missed the detail about the monsters and people getting killed.
