[The last thing that Selphie could remember was Ultimecia's castle vanishing into a blinding white light. It had left her wandering in the never-ending sterility of Time Compression, calling out for her friends, for anybody. It truly felt as if each step was taking her farther and farther away from everything that she held dear until one day, it all appeared before her again. She stood there, injuries and all from the battle that were still healing in a dumbfounded state. She ignored the murmurs, the stares and the pointing fingers as her nunchaku slipped from her hands and clattered to the floor.

Leaving it behind, Selphie stumbled toward the directory where her life had begun to change and stared at it. It all looked the same but after not seeing it all for so long, nothing looked the same at all. She wasn't sure if she was dreaming or not but the dull ache she felt throughout her entire body had her leaning quite heavily towards this all being real. It was all real or a very cruel nightmare.

The map thankfully, seems to have remained the same and she veers off toward the left. She feels like hell and probably looks like it too but she honestly could care less as she started a slow trudge toward the infirmary. Was Dr. Kadowaki still there or was Selphie in for a surprise? She couldn't say for sure but those steps toward the infirmary were leading Selphie towards a new chapter in her life. She was exhausted and bone weary as she came to the door of the infirmary before too long. Of course, how long it takes her also depends on how often she gets stopped on her way there.

Eventually, she stepped within distance of the sensors and watched as the door opened.]

[Touma takes off his glasses, wiping them on the hem of his jersey.] If you just arrived here, I expect time compression pulled you directly to what you would consider the future. Its effects have rippled through time and space to other worlds besides this one - I'm from another world myself.

[He offers a hand to shake.] Touma H. Norstein, apprentice doctor.

[Rainbow leans back, crossing her forelegs with a look of absolute smug satisfaction.]

The legendary, near-mythical Sonic Rainboom? Not so legendary and impossible to see with THIS pegasus pony around.

[Selphie reaches over to shake Touma's hand.]

Selphie Tilmitt, one very baffled but kinda unsurprised SeeD.

[Sorry Dash, but she's not entirely convinced.]

[Touma doubletakes, and abruptly salutes; his tone is a lot more respectful now.] You're in the history books, ma'am.

[Pinkie reaches into her pocket and takes out confetti, throwing it over Selphie. While it's falling, she pulls out a party blower and gives it a big--

I wish I had known an hour ago! I would have thrown you a welcome back party!

Thank you! I didn't know I was gonna back here an hour ago though. It's great to back home.

That's too bad! Well, maybe next time! [Because...there will be a next time!] What will you do now that you're back?! Are you a cadet or SeeD?

[selphie_t]

First! Infirmary for a patch job or a cure job or whatever. Second! Get some sleep because I am bushed. [And still full of energy.] Third! Resume active duty as a SeeD after I've given the Headmaster a report or eat. I haven't really decided yet.

UNDERSTOOD! [She salutes Selphie, which is a rather well practiced and clean salute.] C'mon! I'll get you to the infirmary! Then we can get you some SUPERLICIOUS food before you sleep! OR.....after?

[She already forgot the order which Selphie wanted to do things.]

[Rainbow's back stiffens at the challenge. She points a foreleg to the entrance.]

All right. Outside. I'll show you.

Ah... no, I'm not. I can't do much more than the really basic healing spells, but if you'd like I can do that until you get over to the infirmary, eh?

[He nods.] As part of the group most involved in the second Sorceress War - some regard you as a hero.

[selphie_t]

[Selphie stands there for a few moments laughing sheepishly. She doesn't think she's a hero because she feels like she did what any other good person would've done if it were them in her place.]

[Whatever happened to going to the infirmary, Selphie?]

[Selphie smiles gratefully.]

Sounds good to me.

[Quickly kneels down and casts a couple small healing spells. As he stands back up he offers a shoulder to lean on in case she still needs it.]

What happened? Sounds exciting.

[selphie_t]

Yeah well, you know. Ultimecia and all. We kicked ass and took names.

And all this talking is making me hungry.

[fierybluebird]

Ultimecia....

[Shakes his head.] Right.

Want one of the cafeteria's famous hot dogs? [Evil smirk.] They say they're the same ones they've had for the last twenty years, eh.

[Well she did get two Cures! Admittedly, Cures from a pony who is kind of lousy at paramagic, but nevertheless, two Cures!]

[Boldly, Rainbow leads the way back through the lobby and outside, only to frown up at the sky the moment they get under it.]

Aww, there's too many clouds for a good view! Hold on, I'll fix it.

[She zips up into the air, then starts kicking clouds to make them poof.]
