001 Mulan - Action

[If Mulan ever thought she had been confused or worried in the past it was nothing compared to this. She's found herself in a strange place and she has no idea how she even got here. Some sort of...academy? She read the letter that she had been given more than once, just to try and get her head around this whole thing. It hasn't helped much. She's been wandering around the gardens for a while now, calling out the names of her friends and family. All she wants is to see a familiar face, someone that she knows...

So, that's where you'll find her, wandering around the Gardens looking extremely lost and confused. Come and talk to her won't you?]

Father? Shang? Mushu? Ping?

[There's a pause before she speaks in a quiet voice] ....Anyone?

Anyone isn't always a good thing to ask for don't you think~?

[The voice came from nearby, but the owner didn't come into view until she turned a corner and smiled. Ahri eyed the girl curiously, noting that she was definitely not a native of this world as well, her tails swaying curiously behind her.]

Aren't you a sweet looking girl~ I suppose you were dropped in this world as well? It seems that it happens often to those that wouldn't really want to leave their homeworlds.

[The question, such as it is, comes from above, where a pastel pony with a rainbow mane has stopped mid-flight and is now hovering in midair looking down at her in confusion.]

[Rapunzel doesn't take too long to find the new arrival, not immediately recognizing the girl and figuring she might be new and could use some help. She approaches with a small smile, tucking her hair behind her ear.]

I'm not sure if I know of anyone by those names here. But I guess you're new? I'm Rapunzel.

Let me guess, you're new here too, aren't you?

*Nothing strange about this, right. You know, except for the fact that the person saying this is a massively huge giant pink bird, anyway. There's another girl running up to the two of them.*

So this is where you went Piyomon! Why didn't you tell me...

*She blinks, looking over at the other confused girl.*

Oh, hey there! You...

*She frowns a bit.*

... You look like you're completely lost. Do you need some help?

[He sees a girl looking quite lost. It's not an unusual sight, really. Gakupo walks over to her, carrying a guitar case in his hand.]

Do you need some help, miss?

[Hearing the voice Mulan almost jumps but instead she moves forward slowly, trying to find the source of the voice. When she does she relaxed just a little but she doesn't move any closer to her, especially when she catches sight of the tails...they can't be tails, right? Right.]

...I guess not, no.

[She looks around her once more before turning her attention back to the person in front of her.]

I just..ended up here I don't know how. Where is here? It doesn't look like anywhere I've ever been before.

[And Mulan is actually just going to spend some time trying to figure out exactly where that voice came from before she looks up and spots the pony above her. When she does though her eyes widen and she steps back a few times...a flying, colorful pony? Not something she's ever seen before.]

Was that...you can talk?

[Well Rapunzel would definitely figure right at that. Mulan is very confused but she can't help but smile slightly back at the friendly looking figure approaching her. Thank god there are people around here willing to help her out.]

Oh... [Her heart sinks a little as she realizes that the people she knows might not be here. But she'll bow slightly in greeting.] Yes, I'm new around here. I'm Mulan.

[A pause] It might sound like a strange question but...where exactly is here?

[notreallyping]

[Yes, this girl is now looking twice as confused as she was looking just moments before. It might have something to do with the huge giant pink bird that's talking to her right now. She figures that she might just be imagining it or something so she's just going to turn her attention to the other girl instead.]

Uh, yeah...

[A pause. What to say that's not going to make her sound stupid...]

I..don't exactly know where I am. Or how I ended up here.

[notreallyping]

[Mulan brightens ever so slightly as she notices a figure walking towards her. At least she's not completely alone here and he might be able to answer her questions and tell her how she can get home...]

Oh, I...yes...it's just I don't exactly know where I am.

[Rainbow's face immediately shifts from curiosity to irritation as she drops down out of the air to land in front of the woman.]

Yes. I'm a talking, flying pony. And that's perfectly normal here.

No one's explained anything to you yet at all?

*That was weird, she got the explanation first thing. Still, maybe the staff at the Garden didn't find her yet?*

Mulan. That's a nice name! But, 'here' is called Balamb Garden. It's like a military school. I'm studying towards para-magic, recovery specifically I guess. It's kind of a long story but we were brought here by this....Time Compression. People here are from all kinds of places and different times, even. I know Eugene remembers more of what happened back home than I do, for example. I don't know if any of your friends are here but if they aren't yet there is still a chance that they might show up.

Chances are very high that it's nowhere you know of or even remotely close to the world you came from. It's the same for a lot of us who ended up here~

[She says in an almost sing-songy way, musing to herself as she enjoys the air.]

Nothing to worry about though, no. Well, nothing to really worry about anyways. So, you gonna study or?

That can happen when you first arrive here. You're in Balamb Garden. It's a military school of sorts.

I'm Gakupo. I'm one of the SeeDs here, meaning I'm not a cadet any more. May I ask your name?

[She bites her bottom lip as she notices the expression changing and she bows her head ever so slightly in an apology.]

I am sorry I did not mean to offend. It's just I've never seen anything like you before.

No..well kind of. I found this letter where I woke up but I don't understand it.

[She roots in a pocket and takes out the now slightly crumpled up letter.]

Classes...so is this some kind of school or academy? [She jumps as the pink bird talks again.] I...sorry, it's just I've never seen something quite like you before.

Thanks. Rapunzel is a nice name too.

[She pauses a little and her mind drifts to the letter she received at her arrival. She remembers the mention of 'classes' and she had thought it was some kind of school but a military academy? Been there, done that.]

A military school...I've already trained with the Imperial Army, I'm not sure I want to go through that again. [A pause] I hope they do.

Yeah, I get that a lot. [So much so that she's getting over the serious irritation over it and back to resigned bitterness.] But I'm not the only pony here, so you better get used to it.

Oh. Well, I can understand that. Most people haven't seen anything like me before...

*Chika nods.*

Yeah, it kinda is. It's basically an academy for a mercenary force, actually.
