Anyone ever think that maybe they don't want to be a SeeD?

After all, Asuka has always been a very proud SeeD, and maybe she's just paranoid, but something about the recent changes strikes her as shady. She's sure she's not the only one who feels that way, but maybe she's curious about alternatives.]

I can honestly say that I haven't had that thought one single time in the past ten years.

But I do admit, for me, it's a choice, not a necessity.

Yes. I grew up in a world with SeeDs. I've wanted to be one since I saw the Commander's field exam.

But... again. I had a choice. I do see how this can bother people who just got dropped here, with this their only safe refuge.

It's strange, isn't it? I know we have a choice, but sometimes, it feels like the only really worthwhile thing to do around here.

I don't buy that. There's plenty of things, worthwhile or otherwise (and that's entirely up to you) out there. It's just a matter of passing for a native well enough to do it.

[Someone may be speaking from experience here.]

Garden's a place where you can safely learn how to fit in, start to network, and put some money away for the things you want to do.

Well, there are people like that here, and there is the option to not become one.

It would really depend on the person. There's other things you can do here, but it seems like a long road to establish yourself in a world that dislikes you for something you can't control.

You don't have to be one if you don't want to. It's not something I would've done myself, but plenty of people're staff around here.

On paper, yeah. In practice, I've got no idea.

I've heard some people try to make it outside Garden, but i don't think they succeeded.
