Explosions.

Despite being a supposedly successful (and famous) alchemist back in Arland, she still managed to blow things up on a frequent basis. Most of the time, it had to do with her bombs backfiring on her in the training center, but on occasion, smoke could be observed coming from her dorm, where Rorona had set up a small workshop.

Today was no exception. Having been working on combining the two things she was good at making, pies and bombs, into one 'pie bomb', it's yielded... explosive results so far. Well, at the very least, it's been contained to a small area.

[Ed is settling in... he thinks. He's slowly adjusting to the idea of a regular schedule, and slowly losing hope that he'll ever find anything useful for getting him home in this place's stupid tiny library. But old habits die hard, and one of the habits Ed brought with him was the tendency to run in the wrong direction whenever he hears an explosion - which is to say, towards it.]

[Oh, and somewhere underneath it, there appears to be a person. What the hell happened here?]

Ahaha... I'm okay! I just... messed up again.

That's gotta be some kind of mess-up to make this much smoke... What were you doing in there, anyway?

Well... I was trying a new recipe I came up with, a Pie Bomb! Except so far, it hasn't worked...

Really? I couldn't tell.

You wanted to cook a bomb? Uhhh... nitroglycerine tasting sweet doesn't mean it's a great idea to eat it. What's wrong with just making the pie, then making a normal bomb and putting it inside? Seems safer. [Insofar as making a bomb in your dorm is safe at all, which means not very.] At least then it'd only detonate when you expect it to.

...Wait, you're an alchemist? Seriously? [She does not look like one to Ed... although they do say alchemy started in the kitchen, so maybe it's true. Come to think, has he met her before? In a class or something? The soot makes it hard to tell.]

Oh? In that case... I'm not an expert on explosives, but maybe you're trying to transmute too much in one go. Have you tried making it a more gradual reaction? [It doesn't occur to him that alchemy could be anything other than the alchemy he knows. But he's trying to help!]

I know I heard somethin' big and loud. [Still, no blood or dying, so he brings the sword around to plant it point first on the ground as he appraises the scene.]

A-Ah, well... I messed up a synthesis, eheh.

Oh, it snuck in and you kicked its butt yourself, huh?

[Yeah, that's not a word he commonly encounters in his life...]

... Did you seriously blow something up?

[And as much as most people would normally be baffled and worry about the person who blew it up, Haruhi... well, isn't. Instead, she's kind of excited.]

Yeah! Um, well... I messed up another synthesis. <sub>[She'll just hope Headmaster Cid won't be too mad!

You see, I'm working on a new recipe! I'm good at making pies and bombs... so I thought I'd combine the two!

Maybe you should try using a bomb that lasts longer. And doesn't react with the pie itself.
