[So walking around Garden today, students, you may notice an increasingly more standardized sight: you guessed it, ANOTHER RIKU. Except this one is wearing a bodysuit and a silly skirt and kind of looks like he wants to kill something. What you may not guess is that this is out friend Dataku, with some... minor adjustments. After the events listed in this nice log, Data Riku is now a 'corrupted' version of himself; that is, he's more aggressive than normal, and he's a jerk of the caliber who will happily send your computer in to the techies five times in a row and require you to pay them 300,000 gil to fix a problem that will probably pop up in a few months anyway. (Bitter? Dataku-mun? Noooo.)]
[In any case, he's walking around with his weapon out and looking pretty smug. Whatcha gonna do, world? Or do you have any interesting events he might feel like dropping in on?]

FFFFFFF. I have to tag this.
Data Ri-
[ Then , she gets a better look at him. Another Riku? Darn it..]
I'm sorry. My mistake...
...you know I have to tag this one. :|
This is why he was headed back to the Training Center - to kill something before it all ended up being self-destructive. Again.
Yet seeing this... coming from the opposite direction he is. Well, he is currently attempting not to give a damn and failing miserably.] ...What happened to you?
[Last he checked, the one who smelled remotely like the inside of some electronic device wasn't... giving him vibes of 'oh shit, run away really fast.']
no subject
--Eh?
[He turns around, looking at her.]
Oh. It's you
Oh yes. Yes you do.
[For some reason he finds this funny. Are you laughing, Repliku? No? Good, because he isn't either, but still. Apparently the minor and not really relevant incident with the One. Stupid. Little. Heartless is amusing to him now.]
You know. It should be all better [by which he means a hell of a lot worse] in a couple of weeks, tops
no subject
[ The realzation hits her.]
What have you done?
[ She doesn't look surprised In fact , her face has became guarded and blank.
no subject
[He makes a laughably bad attempt at a smile -- probably the real Dataku attempting to make some contact with her. Of course, he's still pretty weak, so in the end the whole thing just ends up like a particularly deranged and wide-spread twitch. So on second thought, it's not really laughable anymore, probably inching closer to creepy and very inherently wrong, whether Shelke can pick up on it or not.]
no subject
Let me rephrase my original inquiry.
What has happened to you?
[ The whole thing..it sends chills and memories through her. It reminds her of the experimentation. God , she wishes he wouldn't smile. Of course , Shelke doesn't show it. ]
Data bro, y u b like dat. :|
I seriously doubt that. [Not just because of him, he doesn't know, going from this cocky brat attitude to a suicidal mess in that span of time. But because if that darkness festers for so long, well... He'd rather not meet the data version of Ansem-Riku.]
no subject
[BLATANT. LIES.]
[Oh, by the way, Repliku? While you're standing there shuddering, guess what Dataku (the real one) is doing? He pretty much performed a mini quarantine and kept a few small pieces of himself together and whole, very much like Mickey did on a smaller scale. So he's sitting somewhere in Darkku's consciousness and he is acting pretty similarly to you. Shuddering and running around to see if there is something, anything, he can do to get out of this. But there really isn't. not yet.]
no subject
--corrupted--
Minor issue. Maintenance error. Will be fixed in time
[One of these voices is not like the others.]
no subject
[ There is some concern now.]
no subject
[Of course, Dataku was not previously aware of this; but he is now, certainly. Even so, the Darkness is affecting him differently than it did the last time, even though it came from the same source...]
no subject
[Let's recap: Riku went through the dick stage. He went through the dick stage. And now he's pretty damn sure that something happened to cause a second personality to take over. To partially prove the theory? Well... Darkku isn't the only one with dark armor. The only difference between the two is that where Darkku seems to be enjoying it, Rep isn't showing any sign of thrill this power used to give him... and still does.]
I may not know you well enough, but I know the real thing and I know the you I met my first day here isn't like this. What caused this.
no subject
How do you plan to correct this? [ Corrupt data...dang Shelke was thinking fast.]
no subject
[Definitely the Darkness talking. Because it's not going to settle! What's going to happen is it's going to keep getting worse and worse and he knows what it does to humans and he KNOWS what the viruses do to him, he's seen it before, oh good god he's going to die, dammit Ardos--]
no subject
... Darkness injection--
[He looks like he was going to go further, but something stopped... whichever one of them was telling Repliku this. It seems it's the Darkness, though, because a moment later he gets another word fragment out. Yes, Dataku's body is essentially being fought over right now.]
--Ardosardosardos--
[Oh god. His head hurts.]
no subject
No. I know more about technology than that. You need to be 'rebooted' somehow.
[Thats how you fix system corruption, so maybe it'll...]
no subject
[He doesn't speak for a moment, taking that time while the other doesn't move to close distance, get closer. The differences between the two voices- wait, what?!]
Ardos... [filing that name away for later, reaching a hand out to place it on Darkku's shoulder. Seems innocent enough, but his guard remains up in case he lashes out. Really, all he wanted to do was get enough of the truth out of him because seeing this really brought a bad taste in his mouth that had nothing to do with his own actions and 'borrowed' self.
Then he remembered the sounds in a certain Heartless. ...Ah, that's what the vile taste was for.] ...That pathetic Heartless?
[If he manages to make contact, you better believe there's a dark aura forming around the two. Only instead of giving, he's taking. Just enough to help the coherency of the voice that didn't sound so friggin' creepy.]
no subject
[He's pretty intent.]
no subject
No. You are not yourself, therefore what you say could be compromised. Its the only logically explanation for the uncharacteristic speech.
[ She gives him a sad smile.]
Please. I desire nothing but to restore your previous state. I do not know how, but rebooting is the only thing I can think of.
no subject
[It's all he can do to stand there, looking Repliku in the eye -- and then there's something moving. The data, the Darkness, it's moving. Yes, yes--wait. Is he taking it? He's taking it? Dataku looks between Repliku's face and his arm, and yes, the Darkness is clearly visible moving along it. Still not wanting to say anything else, Dataku concentrates himself on keeping the Dark from trying to swat Repliku away; because that's what it's doing. The reserves are shrinking... and that this the worst thing that could possibly happen.]
no subject
And that's exactly what he does. His blood runs cold even before the draining begins, but once it does- oh. oh, light above this is going to suck. Unlike Zexion's power, which was mainly a hollow void that caused only more emptiness. This... it was far too similar to his own genetic background. Darkness, data, and DNA. That and false memories are all he consists of. What he's draining is an even more powerful darkness.]
Don't waste your energy. [...Can he sense it?] I might accidentally end up draining that, too.
[It hurts, but he has to do something... anything to drive out some of that poison-!
Except it isn't a refined art just yet, and the last person he tried this on died because of it. The next thing he knows is his vision's momentarily going blank before he forcibly has to let go- leaving some of his own light to counteract it by mistake. Oops.]
...Just... like me. [owww... Yeah, not paying attention to the sparking. He's busy trying to regain his sight for a second. ...try and get revenge for that, Darkness. He dares you.]
no subject
Don't do it. Tht was a minor error, do not try to reboot. Human being. Do not try to reboot. Do not try to reboot
no subject
[At Repliku's command, he makes no move to respond, but he's definitely not conserving energy; between stopping himself from attacking Repliku and keeping the various components somewhat separated as he absorbs them, Dataku is arguably working harder than he would on a given day. He twitches and makes random little movements every so often, but nothing that could get so far as to harm Repliku.]
[Dataku notices, briefly, that he really owes him for this. The details can be worked out some other time--]
[When Repliku pulls back, he's done well taking out various components. And when the accidental Light burst makes contact with the point he'd been sucking it from, still more of the excess burns away. Dataku is looking a little more sane now, and he dares to speak directly to Repliku.]
--Thanks.
[And then a moment later the Darkness makes a bid for control, and succeeds, commanding him to leap for Repliku -- without a sword. Corrupted Dataku's Punch-Out!!, anyone?]
no subject
Which means that he is very much close to falling down to his knees like he had when the power of illusions was converting converted into his own power and the knowledge to use them slowly made themselves available for his personal use. Most of this, however, is combat-related and copied. He couldn't keep a hold on that much power with this little experience in his own skills with what he is. But still, he--
Ardos- That stupid Heartless was still probably hiding in his room, resting from whatever both entities did to him. If this was his doing, then someone was going to pay.]
Don't thank me just--
[Vision clearing just enough, he notices that lunge just in time to offer one of the most twisted, malevolent smirks he's been capable of in a long time -- okay, a month or two, but who's keeping track? -- as he holds out a hand toward the corrupted journal only to unleash some of that darkness mixed with his own into a blast of dark firaga. Little known fact: Rep cheats.]
What's wrong? Angry that someone knows how to disrupt data? Well, guess what. [Standing a little straighter, and definitely pulling his reserves of stubborn idiot that he was created with in the first place.] I can make darkness do whatever I want.
no subject
Don't care what you can do!
[He doesn't. Logical reasoning was left behind a long, long time ago. And just like that, Darkku throws a punch for his face, seemingly intent to turn this into some kind of barfight. Swords just take too long.]
no subject
Rep goes to double-jump out of the way, but not before that punch comes into contact with his face. It causes his knees to buckle and, wiping the blood from a corner of his lip -- he'd bitten it on accident -- he laughs and uses the position of being flat on his back to roll back and aim a double-kick right for the other replicated face.] Then why attack me?
no subject
You're a danger
no subject
[Rep rolls out of the way, getting to his knees and smirking at the other. Did he want him to be a danger? Because he very well could. In fact, instinct is telling him to do the same and-
U̴͘ņ͜l̶̢͠i͞ḱ̶e̵̛͠ ͝y̶͞o҉u̴̡,͡ ̡I͟͠ ̡̧f̢͠e̶҉à̡r͝ n̕o̵t̸̢h̡͟i҉́͘n͡g͝.̶
nngh-! Repliku shows one small sign of a wince at the memory, not even including the sudden white dot that just blinked in and out of existence between his eyes. Whatever that darkness he absorbed was doing, he wasn't sure if he liked it, but. He was never meant to exist in the first place. There was a hope that at least this one wasn't meant to be some puppet behind his choices.
Thinking fast, he summons Soul Eater and points it upward before the grey and purple mists flow around him again. It was a long shot, but if he could pull off a change of scenery and disguise himself- Nope. Not enough power. At least he managed to disappear for a brief second and attempt a grasping of the other Riku face's wrist. Just one. Hand. On him. All he needs-]
no subject
[Instinctively, Darkku pulled his arm away, hoping this would dislodge the other. But it was already too late; the Darkness was seeping out again, and it's all he can do to stop from struggling and just letting out more.]
no subject
Hang in there, man.
[...Heh. Even a program is more real than he is. In his mind, anyway. Taking darkness, leaving everything else be as much as possible. ...until he's forced away for the sake of his own sanity. Wait, he still had that?]
stop icon failing, self
[Stuck a short way away from Repliku, Darkku prepares to dive forward again -- but he doesn't. The body is looking at Repliku, and if he happens to look at just the right moment, he might be able to bypass the demented snarl and catch a glimpse of what the real Dataku is feeling; that is, through all of the work he's doing to regain control of his own data, he's looking more than a little scared.]
Keep go--
[Sword out. Charging for Repliku. Aaand Dataku's influence is pushed under, once again.]
It's okay we all have our moments. /pats
A dark shield suddenly forms between him and the data counterpart before he's forced out of Dark mode in an attempt to keep the powers from becoming too much. Which is just fine, because... hadn't the real thing beaten him without the power of darkness?]
What's wrong? Giving up already? C'mon, I thought darkness was stronger than that!
[The shield dissipates as he speaks, and that sword is still in his hand. C'mon, Dataku. Take the opportunity and let him have another opening.]
I feel like Garden staff should be stopping the fight right about now :|b
Yep, same here. :|b
...I will get that Heartless for you.
[What he means by that, who knows. Rep just knows it's probably not the best idea to stick around much longer...]
no subject
[Even though he may not be completely human, Dataku still needs oxygen to function, and when that was cut off by Repliku clutching his throat and streaming Darkness through it (if only for a few seconds), he was definitely thrown out of sorts. So when Repliku moves back, Dataku isn't even concerned with him for the moment; his instinct, by which we mean the very instinctive mindset of the Darkness, is telling him to catch his breath first.]
[It's a really great time to escape, Repliku. There are some Garden faculty coming...]
no subject
[ Why should she care? That thought startles her. She thought she was over that whole, 'hating the thought of helping anyone but herself' thing. Visibly shrugging the thought off, Shelke takes a hesitant step towards Data Riku.]
At the core, the human brain is said to be similar to a computer..I do not know..
no subject
[The 'real' Dataku is shutting up, focused more on reclaiming control completely. He's not even sure if he can be rebooted either.]
no subject
I understand you are adamant on getting your point across, but it is not important.
I do not know how anyway.
It would require you to be a computer for me to even begin to guess the necessary process. And even then it would be a tedious task.
no subject
Go away
no subject
I suggest you to remedy your tone if you expect results. [What is this? Sadness? She is confused by this sudden flux of feeling. Ignore it. Bog it down. There we go.
