Okay. So, a school. That's a new one. I bounce from running for my life, rescuing a pretty girl,returning her home...and then a school. Military. Maximus, wherever you are, you are having a good neigh at my expense, aren't you? Anyways...I've caught word of a cute, long-haired blonde with green eyes being enrolled as well. Rapunzel if that's you, please come to the quad. -Eugene Fitzherbert

Eugene? Eugene! You're here! I--I'll come to the quad now then? [Eugene. He's...here.]

Rapunzel! Yea! C'mere! I gotta see how you've been doin.

I'll be right there!

[he'll be waiting in anticipation, eager to see how his princess is doing and how she's been.]

[She's so relieved to hear his voice again, to have some familiarity from home. Rapunzel can barely get there fast enough in her eagerness to see him again, her long hair trailing behind her as she dashes over to the quad, pausing as she nears it to look around for the familiar figure. There he was! She grins, approaching him.]

Eugene!

[Eugene practically jumps to his feet at the melodic sound of his beloved Rapunzel's voice. He turns around so fast to the location of her voice,] Rapunzel! I--- [And then his voice dies. Snuffed out like a flame on a candle. He stares.

Long. Blonde. Hair.
Long. Blonde. Hair.
Magic hair?

Uh-oh. Rapunzel might get worried at his unexpected surprise.

He shifts the surprise to a warm smile, and moves his feet over to her. As soon as she's in arms' reach, with one clean sweep, he grabs her up and lifts her high.]

You have no idea how happy I am to see you, gorgeous.

[Her brow creases slightly, turning her head a little as he stares. Why was he staring? It can't have been that long since they would have last seen each other for him, right? If anything, she should be....er. Well. She gives a small yelp at the unexpected lift, her hands clutching at his shoulders.]

Eugene! I...I missed you too. [He's never called her gorgeous before. Nobody has. But she won't comment on that. She's just relieved to have someone from home at least, and now she knows Eugene is okay.]

[He lowers her down when the excitement rush in his chest starts to die down. But he hugs her to him, hands at the back of her head, and the other above the small of her back.]

First a tower, then castle, now a school. You're really gettin' that adventure you wanted, Rapunzel.

[Her arms wrap around his waist as he lowers her and embraces her, head to his chest.]

Looks like it. But I've never been to a castle before.... [Frowning a little in confusion. Why would he mention a castle? The one in Corona? With that family, the King and Queen and that stained glass picture of them with the Lost Princess? Why would any of that involve her?]

Never been-- [His brow furrows, and he pulls away a bit, so he cna get a good look at her.] Just back in Corona, you were in the library, balancing a book on your head, trying to walk a straight line.

I doubt that would have lasted too long. The library was that place with all the books, right? I remember going there with you when we arrived in Corona to see the floa--the lanterns. [But she doesn't remember trying to balance the books on her head. They'd just read some together.]

[He studies her.]

The castle. Rapunzel. Your parents' castle.

But...I lived with Mother, in the tower. Not a castle.....[Why was this so confusing yet almost somehow familiar? Eugene seems just as confused.]

[Did this place take away her memory and fit her with her hair? Well they need strong people to help fight this war raging outside the school, right? Did they set Rapunzel back to make use of her hair?

Eugene doesn't like this.]

And then you returned to your real mother in Corona. The Queen.

[He reached into his vest's pocket and pulled out a royal purple cloth with a gold emblem of Corono's symbolic sun embroidered at the center. He holds it up.]

Princess Rapunzel of Corona. Do you remember now?

The Queen? The one in that picture I saw...? [Soft, almost hesitant as she looks to him, then the cloth. She stares at it for a moment, eyes widening. Recalling her room in the tower. Wasn't that....? A mobile. One with the sun, a white horse, chameleon and unicorn. The king and queen above. But why would she remember something like that? And why would Eugene say she was her real mother? She raises a hand to her temple lightly, lowering her gaze for a moment.]
